It was one of those nights where I sit infront of a bigass computer trying to finish one of my novel,

just in time before the deadline could kick my . EXCEPT one of those nights was always quiet,

it was always me; until my phone rang its noisy sound like it always does.

My heart was pumping like crazy when a photo of her appear through the screen,

It’s been a while. Through all of that craziness happening, yet I was hesitated to pick up a call from a

mysterious girl who never ever make effort to make the call first. Actually, she never calls.

 

and then I pressed accept. Ready for a cold tone voice I was about to get.

 

and then there’s only silence between us.

Until I was about to end the call, suddenly I heard a voice of one precious women the whole world wanted have. The whole world can go themselves. A soft tone that wonders me, of course

I remember her voice.

 

Jennie Kim’s voice to be exact.

 

 

 

 

“ you gave up “

 

 

 

“ what?” I raised my brows in curiosity,

this is not how you start a conversation with anyone,

but who I am to judge her

 

 

 

 

“you stopped loving me”

 

 

 

“ because you never love me back”

 

 

 

“how did you know?”  

 

how did I know?

well, after all the missed calls and late night texts. It has been officially proven to me that this girl will

drive me crazy 

 

 

Or maybe Lisa already knew all of it too well in the beginning. The way the girl lays her eyes on her;

she could feel nothing but a plain friendship and a little bit of interest.

Lisa knew it all; she just chose to ignore the negatives and lied to herself.

 

Lisa lied to herself that one day, a badass, hot, kind-hearted girl like Jennie Kim, would love her back.

Then one day Lisa realized that it’s just a waste of time,

and the day that the girl would love her back?

 

 

Obviously, that day never comes

 

 

 

“because we don’t know each other, me talking one sided doesn’t count in this situation”

 

It took Lisa quite a while to respond to Kim’s question as her heart started to ache, once again.

 

 

“you’re coward”

 

 

“yea? and you’re just.. mean” and hot and cold or you’re just both of it at the same time.

 

 

“ but you love me”

 

 

Just then that Lisa felt her heart ache twice, harder before it stopped;

leaving Lisa an empty feeling.  It doesn’t happen that often. Honestly, this is the first time Lisa felt

the emptiness toward Jennie’s word instead of a crazy heart beat or a slight blush on her cheeks.

 

 

 

“ it’s not like I wanted to”

 

 

“ so you gave up “

 

 

“ Yes." that was it.

 

A simple yes that could end everything between us. 

 

 

 

 

I ended the call, and go to sleep. Just like any other night I spent with myself and my cat,

except I felt happier; so much

 

that I decided to call Jisoo

 

 

 

“what” I was greeted by a husky, tired voice of a women; who happens to be my best friend.

 

“wow is that how you response to a friend?”

 

“Lisa I have work to do. a pile of it”

 

“I just confessed to Jennie”

 

there was a silence for a while.

 

 I left a smile to myself for a second

 

“that’s a good news”

 

“ yea.. now we can date “

 

“go yourself”

 

“you’re un-hi-la-ri-ous”

 

“and you’re unreasonably annoying… but congrats, I’m proud of ya”

 

“ yea.. me too”

 

 

then I ended a call then went to sleep, just like any other night with my cat.

 

Just like any other night, except that my heart doesn't belong to Jennie Kim anymore.
