Party HouseJennie awoke to the sound of giggling and an acrid aftertaste in .
"Wha-?" she started, before catching a glimpse of Chaeyoung, her best friend and roommate peering at her from the entrance of their shared bathroom.
Source of giggling detected.
"Park Chaeyoung, what in the world are you laughing about," she glanced at the clock, "at SEVEN in the morning?"
Her best friend strode into their room and whipped off Jennie's bedsheets. "I see what you got up to last night," Chaeyoung intoned, waggling her brows, "She left about five minutes ago, by the way."
A frustrating sense of déjà vu plagued Jennie's senses.
"Did she say anything? Leave a note?" Jennie asked, trying to keep the desparation she felt out of her voice.
Chaeyoung lifted her right brow thoughtfully, "Sorry, I don't remember her saying anything..." before realisation dawned upon her, "But she might've left a note? I could help you check if-"
"It's fine, Chaeng, really." Jennie cut her off, a familiar melancholy washing over her, "they leave, they always do."
Chaeyoung was worried for her best friend. She'd been hurt before, an uncountable number of times, and yet she still pined for someone to see her true value- to love her for who she was. Chaeyoung wasn't sure she could stand seeing her best friend hurt again.
