taehyung saw her on her way out. he was taking out the trash, as he does every friday night. he had his prescription glasses on that nearly covered half of his face and his hair must've resembled the bird nest outside his bedroom window and seeing her so beautiful and so dolled up like that made him flustered from his head down to his toes. 
she had on a tight-fitting dress that ended generously above her knees. she wore heels, not too high, just enough. her dangling earrings sparkled under the fluorescent lights of the hallway.   she turned her head and saw him, a smile on her ever-so pretty face.   "hey," jisoo said. she smiled, like she did on most days but seeing her so dressed up and gorgeous made him only stare at her instead of saying his usual, standard reply that was "hello".    taehyung had to go down, but he didn't want to be carrying a bag full of stinky trash while being next to her in the tiny, five-person elevator their apartment building had so he told her she could go first.   "don't be silly, we can fit."   he bashfully points to the garbage bag in his hands and avoids direct eye contact with her. she got his point straight away, she stepped in the elevator and pressed the button for the ground floor. "see you around then, taehyung." she said it with a formal tone as she always does despite the fact that they were the same age. her cheeks puffed and her eyes were like crescent moons as she smiled just before the elevator doors closed.    after taehyung takes out the trash, the rest of the night is uneventful. 
friday nights for taehyung were usually spent in his apartment, watching a movie or two before dozing off and waking up to a new day full of the same things. today is just the same as yesterday and would be the same as tomorrow. it's a never-ending cycle that quite frankly, taehyung is starting to get sick of.    while his tv was half as large as his bed, it's still a little lonely for him to be watching a movie every friday and on weekend nights like this. maybe he should get a dog or something.   okay, he's kidding about that. he knew he should at least make some friends and engage in social interactions and maybe even participate in some events at the school like those raves and music festivals and oh come on, who was he trying to fool here.   adopting a dog seemed less of a hassle.     =     somewhere between betty crying over a conversation with the blackhood and jughead and archie fighting over jughead's predetermined fall into darkness through the serpents, taehyung falls asleep. his glasses fell to the carpeted floor and there was still a piece of popcorn lodged in between his front teeth. he had been catching up on riverdale because he didn't have the time to watch and fully savor and enjoy each episode so tonight seemed like a good night to start.    he was three-fourths through the latest episode when sleep finally came for him.    then the knocking on the door accompanied by grunting made him sit bolt upright on the couch.   knocking would be an understatement, it was like someone was banging their fist against his door, putting all their strength in. if they kept it up, he needed to call the landlady for a door replacement.    with his heart thumping wildly against his chest, partly because of shock and the other part because of fear, he pressed his hands against the door and immediately pulls them back when the banging ensues.    "open... come on... darn it!"   the voice, despite being muffled, sounded all too familiar to him. he was ninety-nine percent sure about who it belonged to. the one percent that wasn't sure was only because of his confusion because why in hell would kim jisoo be at his doorstep at nearly two in the morning, trying to tear his door down?   despite that one percent of uncertainty, he unlocked the deadbolt and the door swung with such force he took three steps back.    jisoo fell to the floor, she groggily sat
