Later that night after finding the book in their friend's attic, the group was around the bonfire just drinking and having a good time. The crash and burn looked at his friends as he noticed the book laying off to the side."Are we going to do this? The moon is high in the sky and we have everything here." He spoke up as he looked through the drink hole in his beer bottle just getting beer dripped on his eye as he set the bottle down next to him. He handed the book to the couldn't let go. 

"Why me?" She asked as she looked at him 

"It is your book." The never looke back took the half drank bottle from beside can't get away's chair. "You going to drink this?" He asked her as she shook her head. "Score." He mumbled as he took a swing of it. 

"It is my grandmas." She said as she opened the book to the page. 

"I don't know about this." The can't get away twirled a peice of her hair between her fingers. 

"Stop being a scaredy cat." The fresh start blurted - in a drunk prideful state. 

"Anyone have a knife? We have to prick our fingers." The couldn't let go asked 

"Here." The hometown dream tossed her a pocket knife. 

"Whoa, blood! I am going to the bathroom." The can't get away was pulled back down in the chair she was sitting in by the never looked back. 

"Give me that before she runs off to a corner to hide." The never look back outstretched the can't get away's hand just pricking her finger just watching the blood drop as he did his own then handed it to the magically famous after cleaning it. "Your turn." He said 

"This is stupid." The magically famous did it anyway. "Like witchcraft is real." He grumbled as he did the pricking for the fresh start and afarid to contact as he handed the pocket knife to the crash and burn. 

The group watched the last two boys prick their fingers as the couldn't let go started to finish the ritual and looked at the group as she finished. "it is completed." She said as the others nodded. 

"I am going to get more snacks. Come on, you are the most sober of us all." Crash and burn tossed his wallet to the can't get away. 

"Only because we need at least one of us to be so that i can distract the adults." The can't get away spoke 

"You know your role so well!" The never looked back laughed 

"Shut up." Afraid to contact shook her head. "Remeber ice cream!" She called out to the two leaving. "If it rains I am not sleeping out here." She nodded to them. 

"You always pass out first, you won't even know if we put you in a tent." The fresh start told her 

The other two returned soon enough to see their friends in their assigned tents just passed out. "It is a good thing we forgot ice cream." The can't get away laughed as she poured some water over the fire as she looked at the full moon then to bowl that their ritual was left over in. 

"Stop worrying, it is just some stupid party trick. Here, wear this. You always get cold, right?" He tossed her someone's hoodie from a chair. 

"Thanks, night. Don't trip over magically famous' throw up bucket." She laughed as crash and burn gagged just jumpping over it. She went to her own tent she shared with fresh start just laying down. She pulled on the hoodie just wondering if this was their last summer like this before college.
