Short Epilogue: Office
Office“Hmmm… Describe me.”
“Out of nowhere? Why so sudden – alright stop pouting, I’ll do it.”
“Just give me a few seconds to think.”
I still remember the earnest look on her face, how she was almost like a little kid; waiting and anticipating for my answer. How elegantly pretty, I thought.
“Jeongyeon-ie~” She chants my name.
“Mina.”
“Yes?”
“This might sound cringey. Do you still want me to continue?” I asked.
“That only makes me want the answer more, y’know?”
“You’re a blessing – almost as if like…” I paused hesitantly, looking at the warm expression on her face.
“You’re like a gift to me. And to me only.”
My head hung low because of how embarrassed I am, and how these words managed to escape from my mouth. I want to hear her voice – her thoughts, her words but only sounds from the barista tinkering with the coffee-machine filled the room.
I looked up, the reaction from her completely different from what I was expecting. She sat there with tears rolling down her cheeks as she looks at me with all the affection in the world. Her eyes and tears describe everything at that time. I smiled at her brightly, as I gently wipe away the tears that was trickling down – she continues to look at me affectionately and placed her hands over mine near her face.
