Hakyeon was in the middle of making lunch when he heard the bus and he quickly ran to the door to greet his children.

“Welcome home.”

He said, beaming but was not greeted like always. Instead, he saw Wonshik pouting while Hongbin had a long face.

“What happen?”

He asks, crouching to meet their eyes and Hongbin sighs like an adult, pointing at his brother.

“Is it anything for me to worry? Are you into a fight darling?”

“I’m not mommy.”

“Then why?”

“Jaehwan hyung had a boyfriend.”

“Neh? He did?”

Hakyeon bites his lips, knowing that his 12 years old son had a crush on Jaehwan.

“Who is it?”

“His name is Hyunsik. That hyung is in their class.”

“Oh baby. Is that why you are this sad?”

Wonshik nods, the pout doesn’t leave his face.

“You can be friend with him you know.”

“But he doesn’t talk to me like before. I lost him.”

Hakyeon was flustered. He doesn’t know how to handle this situation so he told Hongbin to bring his brother in and take a shower. Hongbin agreed right away and thinks that his mother is right.

“Let’s go hyung. You can talk to Jae hyung later.”

Wonshik huff but did went to his room while Hongbin went to his and Sanghyuk’s. Hakyeon finished preparing lunch by the time his kids are ready and they have their lunch, with Wonshik poking on his food.

“No poking on your food baby. Your siblings are watching.”

“Sorry.”

He said and finished his food. Hongbin left behind to help Hakyeon with the dishes while Sanghyuk wipes the table.

Sarang and the twins were watching TV after their meals and then is when Hakyeon called Wonshik to talk.

“So when is Hyunsik transferred to your school?”

“Last week.”

He said shortly, looking at his mother.

“Mommy, will I lose Jaehwannie?”

“Of course not darling.”

He said, ruffling Wonshik’s hair.

“Jaehwannie is a friendly boy. Don’t you think he is just being friendly? Maybe Hyunsik is having a hard time adapting and he is helping him.”

“But Hyunsik said he likes Jaehwannie.”

“You told him that too right?”

Wonshik nodded.

“Jaehwannie said he likes me too.”

“There, he likes you too.”

Hakyeon smiled softly, patting his cheek.

“You should talk to Jaehwannie and mingle with his friends as well. Don’t be too shy arasseo.”

“Eung.”

Wonshik answered; beaming again.

“My strong boy shouldn’t come home frowning anymore, arasseo.”

“Neh. I’m sorry mommy.”

“Kenchana.”

He said, hugging Wonshik.

“I’m going to Jaehwannie’s house. Can I?”

“Of course you can. Talk nicely. Don’t fight.”

He nods and ran to his room to take his books. Hakyeon shakes his head and checks if his other two sons finished in the kitchen.

“Look omma, we did a great job right?”

Hongbin asks, waiting for him to compliment them. Hakyeon smiled, knows what he had to do.

“Omo, look how clean and sparkly the kitchen is. Thank you sweetie.”

He said and kisses their cheeks.

“Omma, I want to play with dongsaengie neh.”

Sanghyuk said, jumping in place.

“Of course you can. Go on.”

Hakyeon smiles when Sarang, Mimi and Yoona make a circle with Sanghyuk who gladly plays with them.

“Why aren’t you playing?”

He asks Hongbin who stands next to him.

“I have homework.”

He said and huffs again. Hakyeon laughs and ruffles Hongbin’s hair.

“Do your homework so you can play with them.”

Hongbin nods and rushes to his room. Hakyeon rushes to his phone when its ring; a smile on his face.

“Hey honey.”

He was greeted right after he answered.

“Miss me that much?”

He asks and chuckles, Leo too laughs at the end of the line.

“I’m missing you like crazy. How’s the kids doing? Did they tire you out?”

“Not at all. I can manage. It just that Wonshik comes home heart broken.”

“Why?”

“He thinks Jaehwannie has a boyfriend.”

“Poor my boy.”

“He is fine now. I told him to just say it to him.”

“Like how I did when you got a new friend?”

Hakyeon chuckles and sat on the stool in the kitchen.

“Yes. Be a man and confess.”

“He is still 12 yeobo.”

“I know. But do you want him looking all sad that he doesn’t have appetite to eat?”

“He did?”

Hakyeon nodded, as if his husband can see him.

“He must hurt so much. That shy pumpkin.”

Said Leo and Hakyeon nods again.

“Wonder who passes those traits to him.”

“Heyy you love seeing me all red back then.”

“I did and always are.”

Hakyeon said as his voice softens.

“Can’t wait for you to come home.”

“I wish I can run home now baby.”

“I know. Work hard and earn money for us.”

He joked and Leo laughs.

“Kiss the kids for me. Tell them I miss them.”

“Will do that too.”

“Omma.”

“Hongbin calls me. Maybe he needs help with his homework.”

“Okay honey, go on. See you in two days.”

“Bye.”

Hakyeon said and ended the call. He puts on a smile before he look at his second born.

“Yes sweetie.”

“Maths is hard.”

He said with a growl which makes Hakyeon laughs.

“You said you love maths just last year.”

“I did then but not anymore.”

“It is easy of you try to understand the problem. Read line by line.”

“Mommy!”

“There, the twins must be fighting again.”

Both Hongbin and Hakyeon sigh and went to the kids, helping poor Sanghyuk who tries to calm Mimi and Yoona down.

“They don’t want to hear me mommy.”

“Kenchana Sarang ah.”

He pats her head and asks Hongbin to bring the thinking chair.

Both Yoona and Mimi completely stop crying but they were late when Hakyeon sternly ask them to sit there for 10 minutes.

“Let’s do your homework. Hyukkie and Sarang can continue to watch cartoon neh.”

They obediently went to the TV room while Hakyeon helps Hongbin solves his homework after he set the timer.

“You must have it hard omma.”

Said Hongbin like an adult which makes Hakyeon smiles.

“I love you all so I’m not.”

“Jaehwan ah.”

“Eung.”

He said, taking out a box which was decorated with ribbons.

“What is that?”

“It’s for you.”

Jaehwan said, cheek turns crimson.

“For me?”

He nodded, his round eyes expectant when Wonshik took the box, blushing as well.

“Thank you. But why?”

“Tell me what do you want to say first.”

“It’s nothing.”

Wonshik said while scratching his head.

“Do you like me?”

Jaehwan’s cheek turns redder and he nodded.

“How do you know?”

He asks in a low voice and Wonshik was flustered.

“No. I don’t know. I ask because I like you.”

“Chinca?Will you be my boyfriend then?”

Jaehwan nodded innocently and Wonshik leans to his cheek and kisses him.

“Let’s tell mommy.”

He said excitedly and holding hands while they walks to Wonshik’s home.

“Oh sweety. You are smiling.”

Hakyeon said as he reaches to pat Jaehwan’s cheek.

“You manage to turn that sad face into a smile; congratulations!”

He joked and Wonshik tugs his hand.

“Waeyo darling?”

“Jaehwannie said he likes me too?”

“Oh. That’s a good news.”

Said Hakyeon and noticed that both are holding hands.

“Don’t fight.”

He said to both kids and they nodded cutely. Hakyeon ruffles both hair and ask them to come in.

“I will make you guys hot chocolate.”

Wonshik and Jaehwan said thanks and walks to his room, hands swinging as they walk. Hongbin pops in the kitchen and calls Hakyeon.

“Are they dating omma?”

“Yes they are.”

He said with a soft smile and Hongbin heaves a relief sigh.

“Are you happy?”

“Of course I am. I don’t like it when hyung was sad.”

He pouted as he sat on the chair. Hakyeon feels proud and he leans to kiss Hongbin’s forehead.

“My son is such a nice kid.”

Hongbin smiles for the compliments and Hakyeon cooed at how handsome he is.

“Because you are nice omma.”

“Who taught you to say that?”

Hongbin shrugs and ran to the twins when he heard them called him and Hakyeon chuckles.

“It must be you.”

He whispers; thinking of Leo as he brought the drinks and some cookies to his first born room mumbling a I miss you.
