It was a bit ridiculous.
Baekhyun found it a bit ridiculous that a thin piece of metal that counts down can determine who is your soulmate and when the two of you meet. Well, it doesn't really tell you who it is but you'll have to find out when the day comes.
He got his timer when he was thirteen. His parents told them that they will go out to get his timer when he's a teenager. The process was a bit painful, but Baekhyun thought it was cool to see the small clock attached to his wrist. He thought it was like a tattoo.
When the timer was adjusted, they all held their breath to see if any numbers would appear on the boy's timer.
Nothing.
They waited a few more minutes.
No numbers at all.
His mother gave Baekhyun a small smile, telling him that his soulmate probably didn't get their timer yet. The boy believed that, he knew that the numbers will appear on his wrist soon.
Baekhyun is now twenty-four. His timer remained numberless and he completely hates it. Everyone that he knows had the timers and they got to meet their soulmates.
