A young Jeongguk beamed one day when he met his mother, clad in her usual, crisp, business attire. It was a miracle that Jeongguk was able to see his mother when he woke up - it was generally a miracle that he saw his mother and talked to her that day, because he never really had a chance to talk to his mother often, way too often. At a young age, Jeon Jeongguk - heir to the infamous Jeon Family known in the culinary world for owning world-renowned restaurants - found solace from his funny friend inside his head. The young boy forgot what his mother told him when he made known to her his friend; what he remembers, though, were constant visits to a cozy, studio-type room filled with the scent of books, a wooden desk with a placard of a name of someone he considers as a friend, the reclining chair that was too soft that his whole body sank into it and constant questions about his friend inside his head.

Doctor Simon - who he fondly called Psy - has told Jeongguk that Kwon, his funny friend, was a bad person every time they meet as Jeongguk hugged his favorite plush rabbit while lying on the same, old, yet very comfortable reclining chair. Jeongguk would always oppose to forgetting his friend, since Kwon is the only person he could ever talk to whenever he doesn't have his homeschool-teacher over, or whenever he does not have his culinary arts teacher over, or when he wasn't in Doctor Simon's office. His parents were always busy, they never let Jeongguk leave the house more so after meeting Doctor Simon - albeit being told to expose the child more to his peers - and somewhere in that timeline, he meets a new friend named Sanghyuk, but he never told his existence to anyone, especially Doctor Simon.

Jeongguk has only been allowed to go out every time his parents went to social gatherings of other renowned figures of the culinary world when he was eleven years old. Everything seemed to go on smoothly, until Jeongguk was seen locking his lips with an heir of a local big-name restaurant who was a couple of years older than him. His parents were displeased that they even hired females to accompany him every time he wasn't homeschooling or practicing his culinary skills. The young male had no idea what happened for his parents to make a seemingly unnecessary measure - oblivious that someone, something, has taken over his body for a short while. He was oblivious of the fact that his parents were too vexed on the idea of their son swinging that way, even when Jeongguk really had no recollection of that party after thanking a server for offering him a drink. Having females swarming all over him made him severely anxious, and every time his heart beats fast and his seemingly cold blood surged all over at the sight of any female that went inside their house that isn't his mother other any of their maids, he would always black out, and Sanghyuk would always handle the burden of talking and being with those females, but, of course, he was not aware of it. All he knows was he was in a deep sleep, all he knows was that it was probably the stress of meeting the rowdy bunch of females, and he did not know that it was all thanks to Sanghyuk that his parents let him enroll in one of Seoul's most prestigious universities to study Business Management since it was something his parents wanted him to pursue - he never argued about it, though, since he did not want them to change their mind about sending him out to the world, to experience it for the first time.
