One more chance
Jin couldn't get himself to move away from the closed door. He felt as if a part of him is being wretched out of his body. The place holds so many memories and unfulfilled promises and dreams.
He remembered the first time they moved into the apartment. They were so excited to start living together that they didn’t even wait until everything was organized before moving in. The first night was spent cuddling on a mattress in front of the large, living room window with a view of Seoul and the Han river. The bed frame and other furniture haven’t arrived yet and most of their things were still inside the boxes that filled up almost the whole apartment. Their first meal was take-out fried chicken and a cheap bottle of wine they bought from the convenience store. Everything was perfect and it felt like happily-ever after.
It took months to finish settling down because they wanted to make sure everything was perfect with Namjoon’s home studio and Jin’s kitchen and mini garden. They eventually found a routine with Jin heading out first early in the morning to open his restaurant café, which is right across the street.
