Chapter 1 of My Diet/Lifestyle Change

Hi! My name is Katie,

So to start off this post here's a little background on me! I'm currently 15 turning 16 very soon, I am 5 feet and 2inches (158 cm), I weigh 119 pounds (53.9kg). Now this is not techinically 'obsese' or 'overweight' but it is not anywhere where I could be, that would be better for my overall health. My mothers side of the family is not on these obsese side, although my mother has a sturdier built, however obsescity runs in my dads family. I am currently a vegetarian and have been since June of 2016 NOT for the reasons of losing weight, but more of my beliefs in the ethics of it. I use to run cross country and track my 7th/8th and 9th grade years, although I stopped due to a hip injury. I don't do any form of excercise currently at the moment. Like many of you, I look at these idols each day and think of how much I wish I could look like them. Or I look at my skinnier friends, who no matter what seem to not gain weight, and wish to be like them. Well now I am done wishing. I have decided that I will have to make a change in my life if I want to become healthier and slimmer. My goal weight is around 105-109 pounds (within the range of weight recommended for my height). So I will be recording each day on my journey to a better me! I dont wish to do any extreme diet that will cause me to just regain my weight back as I want to be slimmer, and healthier in the long run. 

My plan:

Breakfast:

5:00-7:00am

I have never and I mean NEVER liked breakfast, or have choosen to eat it since the day I chose my own food. So instead, I skip it all together, (yes I am aware this is the most important meal of the day, but I will explain more later). So intstead I will try to drink 1-2 cups of Green tea in the morning to get my metabolism moving!

Lunch:

11:18-11:58

This is my school lunch time and this is what on the weekends I consider my "breafast" as I am not usually awake until around this time/hungry. So at school I will try to bring asalad, or variety of fruit, or sweet potatos.

Snack:

3:30-6:00

This is probably the hardest time of the day for me. I get home from school and I dont feel like starting my homework (I know I'm not the only one). So instead I eat. Usually I overeat in high sugar fruit (aka bannas) and peanut butter. PEANUT BUTTER IS THE WORST ADDICTION I HAVE. Once I start eating it for some reason I can't stop. While in proportions it might be healthy source of protein and fat, when I eat it, I eat huge ammounts which results in, you guessed it weight gain. So a big part of my new lifestyle is going to be cutting out this addicton of mine as much as I can.

Dinner:

6:00-7:00pm

This is probably the second hardest time of day for me, as I have made it through the day being healthy, and I wait until dinner time and then....I binge eat. Yup. So in my changed lifestyle, I have decided to eat without watching t.v. and have my meals consist of mostly, veggies and protein. Now because I am a vegetarain, I will have to get my protein from another source BESIDES peanut butter. So I will eat a boca burger(tofu burger). This is low in calories (70 in the vegan original) and contains high content of protein. I have also decided to cut out desert in my life, so instead if I am still hungry I will eat a fruit, or veggies. (Another note is that I have also decided to cut out dairy due to my issues with my skin). 

Excercise: 

Now as I am swamped with school, I don't have very much time to workout. Although my plan is to start taking 5 miles walks a day, and some form of core excercises. 

Ending notes

I hope everyone will be supportive of me, and I will update every day as much as possible! I will also weigh myself once a week and measure myself, to see my progress overall!
