I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. I groan and think, who on earth would call this early in the morning. “Hello,” I say, my voice still groggy from sleep. “Hey, it’s Hongbin. I was wondering if I could stay at your house for a little while.” “Yeah sure. Where do you want me to pick you up?” “My house, get here as soon as you can please.” “I’ll be there in ten minutes,” I hang up and immediately start getting ready.  

When I arrive at Hongbins house I see him sitting on the front steps with his head in his hands, like he was crying, and he was surrounded by bags. He looks up when he hears me get out of my car. His eyes are slightly red and swollen. He's definitely been crying. "Hey, thank you for letting me stay with you," he says with a small smile as I walk over to him. "You're welcome, now lets these bags in the car so we can get out of this cold," I reply. After we get all the bags loaded into my car we start heading back to my apartment.
