Minghao shot up in bed with a start, smashing his head into the bunk above him in the process. He yelped and fell back to the bed noisily. Tears slipped from the corners of his eyes and he scrubbed at them angrily, cursing inwardly as a sob managed to make it passed his lips. Looking wearily at the beds across from his own he couldn’t help but sigh in relief when he noticed the other members were still asleep. He didn’t want any of them to see him crying, especially not the maknae. As the tears continued to fall images of his nightmare flashed before his eyes.

Blood. The dorm was covered in blood. Following the trails slowly Minghao came across the first body. Soonyoung. A silent scream ripped through him and he dropped to his knees. Thoughts of ‘hows’ and ‘whys’ crossed his mind but that didn’t last long. Looking down the hall a little further he spotted Mingyu. He was drenched in blood and breathing raggedly. But he was still breathing. Minghao rushed to his feet and raced towards him, helping him lean against the wall in hopes of making him more comfortable. Minghao tried to speak to him but no words came out. Mingyu continued to stare on through him as if he wasn’t even there. Minghao sat there long enough to watch the color drain, the chest stop rising, and the eyes to lose focus. Tears continued to fall and Minghao didn’t even bother to wipe them away. He wanted it to stop. Who killed them? Why. . . ? Rushing further down the hall he passed other members. Chan. Jihoon. Seungcheol. Minghao couldn’t stop. He was too scared to stop. He ran all the way down the hall until he got to the end. A door. He turned the handle slowly but already knew who would be on the other side. As the door slowly creaked open he saw himself standing there with a bloody knife in hand and lying on the floor covered in blood at his feet was-

“Minghao?” He was ripped from the flashbacks by a soft voice and a hand dropping lightly on his shoulder. Despite the calming, slow approach he couldn’t help but flinch away. Jun. He didn’t need to turn to know Jun was the one standing at his side.How long had he been there? Fully awake now Minghao’s hands covered his face not wanting Jun to see that he was crying. Another shaky sob escaped and he curled in on himself unsure of what else to do. It was silent for about a minute before light rustling could be heard and the bed shook. He peeked from his arms and saw Jun slowly crawling under the covers beside him. “Are you okay?” It was barely audible but Minghao still heard it. The hand carding through his hair made it hard to focus and he couldn’t help but to slowly lean into it. Of all people Jun was the person Minghao least wanted to see him like this, but at the same time he wanted him to notice more than anyone. Jun pressed his lips softly to Minghao’s forehead, his nose, every piece of skin he could reach. Minghao relaxed, moving his arms to grab at Juns shirt.

“Why are you awake?” His voice was scratchy but Jun still understood.

He pulled Minghao into his arms and rested his ch
