Hey there, it's Megumoe! Feel free to call me Megu, Megumi, Megu-chan- just whatever you feel like. So, this is my first applyfic so bear with me please! From the Thorns is set in a somewhat historical setting with kingdoms and such, so I hope to make a wonderful story that everyone will enjoy. After all, everyone has put in so much effort in their applicants. Thank you so much!

June 28 - I am alive and well! I sincerely apologize for not updating in forever and anything I say will probably seem like excuses. However, I am back and will be doing the best I can to assemble this story. I have also noticed someone deactivated their account, which is unfortunate now that I have less applicants. Hopefully, if you have your app on private, please un-private so I can finally assemble all the delegates. Thanks!

I

n  the Kingdoms of South Korea lies great distress. The relationships of the kingdoms are beginning to fall apart and the threat of war lingers overhead. Their only salvation is the Gathering that takes place every eight years in Jeju Island. The Gathering was invented when the kingdoms came to existence to form marriage alliances, lasting friendships, and to strengthen the bonds between the kingdoms. Each kingdom chooses their delegates- at least one male and one female- in a variety of different ways, some by lottery, some by popularity, but the only condition is that they are of ages sixteen through twenty. Will you become one of the delegates in this year's Gathering?

Chapter 4: I really enjoyed the last bit with the gods and goddess. I think I can guess which deity represents each city/people. I always like when authors build out a mythos. It helps create the foundations of a story. Good work! ^^d

Hm...like what the previous comment said, its possible they're not as active on aff atm. That does tend to happen a lot. :S

It might just be that a lot of the original applicants aren't are around anymore? Aff has a pretty high turnover rate. You might end up having to make do without them.

Chapter 4: it's great to see the story going again, i was really interested in reading this
i haven't read the new releases yet tho, but i will get to them soon :)

Chapter 10: Well a year is certainly a hell of a lead up, the chapter definitely delivers. You did a really good job woth the imagery of it all, the proud city of Busan, the proud figure of Yeonghui, it's all described with the right amount to set the tone, but not so much it becomes flowery. That's not an easy balance to nail so great job on that. The writing pulled me right in and Yeonghui is already a fascinating character, I'll keep my eye on her, she's got my full attention.

Also I see you. I see you Namhoon. I'm actually relieved I preferred him for li in the end over Daehyun yeesss good choice xD

I just loved everything in this! How she was star gazing, the appearance of her entire family (including her godfather and her pet! <3 ), that even Minhyun made it! (tho I'm curious about Kang Namhoon. But I think this trio will get along well xD) And her characterization tho! It was just awesome! I couldn't have done better myself. :3 The way she's proud, the way she's charismatic and the way she feels thrilled with this new "adventure", it is all so her! xD And omg her love interest will really be Daehyun?! I think I could cry right now ;w;
