Train To Nowhere

Your Pov
Taehyung and I wanted to go on a date for a long time.
We really deserved it.
Taehyung had free after 1 month and he actually wanted to sleep, but I insisted on that we go out.
We live in the centre of Los Angeles and the subway was directly in front of the door.
Why shouldn't we try it once?
We'll never forget this memory so quickly.
I was so excited that I didn't even notice that except for Taehyung and me there was no one else on the platform.
We went inside the train when it arrived and sat down.
I had actually wished to have a romantic night with candlelight dinner, dancing and so on.
But Taehyung was to exhausted.
I put all myself together to keep him awake.
"Taehyung, we won't stay for too long, okay? First we go to the cinema, then we go to the restaurant and then we're already back home.",
I said and hugged him.
"At around midnight, huh?",
He answered and sounded a little bit annoyed.
But that was only because he was really tired.
"Ah, don't be like this~!"
I tried to chear him up with Aegyo.
Suddenly I saw a tall man in a tuxedo.
I poked Taehyungs arm lightly and showed him the man.
"Hey, is that a chapel master?",
I said.
The man looked into our direction with a kind of scary look.
I tightened my grip on his arm when I noticed that the train got a bit faster.

The man in the tuxedo was just the beginning.
We should experience even more strange things.
And when our train stopped for the first time,
nothing was normal.
The doors opened but no one got inside.
Taehyung and I felt like we were surrounded by sinister forces which Taehyung felt even stronger than I did.
He looked around nd then said,
"Are we correct here? ....Uhm... in the right train?"
I could hear and feel how nervous he suddenly was.
"I don't know.",
I answered while looking around.
Suddenly the mysterious man was standing in front of us.
I nearly jumped when I saw him stading there.
"Uhm, excuse me, does this train leave to Melrose?",
I asked when I got myself together again.
The man looked at me and answered,
"The train leaves to nowhere."
Taehyung and I looked at each other clearly shocked because of what this man had just said.
All of a sudden the lights started flickering for a moment and then completly went out.
I shifted closer to Taehyung and he laid his arms around me to calm me a little.
When the lights turned back on again, the man was vansished.
"Hey, where did he go?"
"Huh, I don't know.",
I answered and looked around the train once again.
I only noticed then that Taehyung and I were the only people inside of it.
"The Train should be full on a Saturday evening."
"I know. Tell me, on which side are the station signs?"
"I have no idea... There, the station!"
"Is that Melrose?"
"I can't tell."
"Great. We pulled the train out of the traffic."
"Are you sure?"
"Well, where would I know that from?"
"So, what are we going to do now?"
"Searching a conductor."
We stood up immediately and started searching.
Of course there wasn't a conductor to be seen.
All compardments were completly empty.
Suddenly the train became faster again who knows why.
"Hold on tight!"
I nearly fell, trying to take a hold on one of the bars.
Taehyung held me around the waist, prevending me from the falling.
"I can't!"
"What's going on? Damn it."
"I want to get out of here!"
Again we were forced to move forward.
We both nearly fell and the lights began flickering again.

After a while the train got slower.
"Yes! We're stopping! I just want to get out."
"Wait. There's a station!",
Taehyung called and tightened his grip on me.
"Where?"
"There, Look! Okay, where ever we're right now, we're getting outside here. Come, (Y/N)."
We stood up from our seats and went towards the door.
"The train is stopping.",
I said reliefed that we survived.
I couldn't quite believe it.
The brakes squeaked and the train slowed down.
I sent a pray that the doors would open.
Luckily the opened and we immediately ran out of the train.
"But we got inside here..."
It was impossible that we made a round in such a short amount of time.
"Come on, let's get back home. Fast!",
Taehyung said and grabbed my hand, pulling me towards the exit.
When we ran up the stairs we barely noticed that the man with the tuxedo went down the escalator that was right next to the stairs.
Taehyung and I hurried back home.
We breathed in as soon as we got inside the building.
"I can't believe it. We were only 30 minutes away.",
I said with a sigh.
Taehyung turned towards me and asked worried,
"But you're alright, right?"
"Yes....wait. It smells like gas here."
We went a few steps until we reached the door of our neighbor.
"This comes from Mrs. Lee!"
We hurried towards to the door.
I knocked fast against the door and shouted,
"Mrs. Lee! It's me, (Y/N)! Please open the door!"
I repeated it once before Taehyung said,
"Let me do it!"
We changed places and he did the same as I did,
"Mrs. Lee! Mrs. Lee! Uh, we have to get the caretaker!"
"That could be too late!"
"Alright. Then I have to do it myself.",
Taehyung said and jumped against the door a few times, trying to open it.
Then I remembere where the key was.
"Wait! Here's the key!",
I said and pulled it up from under the carpet that was lying in front of the door.
I put the key into the lock and opened the door.
"Oh, no, she closed the chain! Mrs. Lee!"
"Let me do it!"
With that he jumped against the half-opened door one last time and unlocked it successfully.
"Mrs. Lee!"
While Taehyung took care of our neighbor, I turned of the gas.
That's for sure, if we hadn't took this hell ride we would've come too late and Mrs. would've died.
I just wanted to go to the other room to help Taehyung when I noticed something.
"You have to get out of here immediately.",
Taehyung said and helped Mrs Lee to get up from the floor.
I looked closer at the picture when they went passed me.
Taehyung said,
Come out here fast, baby!"
He placed Mrs. Lee down and she calmed down a bit.
"Everything's alright, Mrs. Lee!"
"I just wanted to turn on the heater. But I forgot to light it.",
Mrs. Lee explained, still coughing.
"You really don't want to see a doctor?"
"No, no, it's fine really. But when you haven't noticed the gas oven..."
"Mrs. Lee...",
I said and hold the picture in front of her face.
"Who is that?"
"That's Sungyeol. My husband."
Taehyung and I looked at each other with a shocked expression.
"He is dead since 29 years. He always promised to take care of me."
The man we saw on the picture was defenitely the man we saw inside of the train earlier.
"He never wanted to leave me."
