“Do you believe in alternate universe?”

chaeyoung looked up from her phone to the voice in front of her. chou tzuyu, her childhood  best friend is looking at her innocently waiting for her reply.

chaeyoung pondered for a bit. Does she believe in alternate universe? She really doesn’t know. Maybe yes, maybe no. She shrugged her shoulders to her best friend and brought her attention back to her phone.

“you've been staring at your phone for quite sometime now.” tzuyu says matter-of-factly.

Indeed chaeyoung was looking at her phone ever since they got into the cafe. Actually, chaeyoung is always on her phone staring at it whenever they are at this particular cafe. Letting tzuyu do all the talking while she listens to her.

“did you took another photo of her?” and that got chaeyoung's attention. She immediately tore her eyes from her cellphone screen and stares at her best friend wide eyed like a deer caught in the head lights.

“from the look on your face I'm guessing you did took another photo. Wow son chaeyoung, your stalker skills is high off the charts!” tzuyu teased whilst clapping her hands softly.

“yah! Lower your voice! What if she hears you?”

“chaeng she's on the counter which is like so far from us. She can never hear us unless she’s a vampire like those cullens on that crappy movie where vampires glimmer under the sunlight.”

“i do think she’s a Cullen though.”

“what?” tzuyu looked at her best friend quizzically. She thinks her friend is going crazy.

“like those vampires, she glimmers too--the only difference is that she still shines even if the sunlight isn’t hitting her. She shines so bright and it's blinding me.” chaeyoung said as she stares dreamily at the object of her affection.

tzuyu shook her head at her best friend’s words as she sips a coffee from her cup. Now she is definitely sure that son chaeyoung is crazy.

tzuyu and chaeyoung are university students and they are almost always in the same cafe. Thanks to chaeyoung's obsession to the cafe's barista.

chaeyoung first saw the barista in their university. It was the first day of chaeyoung's freshman year. It should’ve been tzuyu and her first day but the taller girl fell sick that day and she was left alone to figure out where her first subject was on their too big for her own good university.

The first bell already rang and chaeyoung panicked walking in circles as she can’t find her own room. Giving up on figuring out where algebra was, she decided to ask the girl walking in front of her.

She put her hand on the girl’s shoulder to get her attention and the said girl turned around instantly as she felt the touch.

“yes?” the red haired girl asked but chaeyoung can’t seem to open .

This girl is way too beautiful. chaeyoung thought, staring at the brown orbs in front of her.

She was brought back from her trance as she saw the girl waving her hand in front of her face. Chaeyoung then tried to  speak but was unable to form a coherent sentence.

“ahh.. lost.. algebra.. where..” chaeyoung stuttered, not making any sense. Luckily, the beautiful girl in front of her understood and smiled at her.

Her smile is so radiant. She’s shining. Why the hell is this girl shining? chaeyoung thought to herself mouth slightly agape.

The shining girl shook her head with a smile on her face and took the r
