This story is set in a world where both humans and ghouls exist, they don't co-exist in peace and harmony, they just both exist at the same place, and at the same time. Ghouls are mankind's natural enemy. They are man-eating beings who disguise themselves as humans and blend in with society throughout their lives, but when no one's looking, they prey on who they see fit. At present, there is a ghoul who has been going on an eating spree, referred to as Ragdoll by the CCG(Commision of Counter Ghoul). Ragdoll preys on females and as mentioned in the foreword, they leave their victims looking like ragdolls, resulting in their given name. Moving on, there will be 5-6 chracters who will appear in the story, and they will be you guys, or your characters rather! The 5-6 individuals that appear are all connected to Ragdoll, be it directly or indirectly, and they all just get dragged into the events that occur because of their connection to the ghoul. If anyone's curious, Ragdoll's purpose in the story, is to serve as the catalyst. The story is literally about the events that occur after Ragdoll's appearance, in other words, the domino effect?

 

Female, male, you're free to apply as whatever gender you wish. For ages, just don't make them too young or too old. They should at least be older than so that's where I'll draw the line, I guess. Other than that, they can be as old as you want them to be but it would be most preferred to keep them under the 30 years of age. And, as far as ethnicities are concerned, your character can be any ethnicity you want them to be. Keep in mind that the story is set in Seoul, South Korea and the language that everyone will be speaking is Korean

 

There isn't much needed to be said regarding the subject of visuals. Since ethnicities have no limits, visuals obviously don't have any limits too. Well, as long as the visual and the ethnicity add up, and they look around their given age, I'm sure you'll be fine. I don't mean to drop a bombshell but Lee Jieun and Kim Taehyung are taken. Yeah, that is all

 

You can apply as a human, ghoul or one-eyed ghoul. I'd like a balance of both humans and ghouls, so please don't all apply with characters who are all just ghouls and one-eyed ghouls

 

As you can see, there are no set plotlines or roles assigned because I wanted to give you all free reign. If you've read the foreword and that bulky paragraph at the top of the page, I'm sure you're already aware that the character you make has to somehow have a connection to Ragdoll but whether their connection is directly or indirectly, is completely up to you. Some obvious ideas, or suggestions for the roles that your character may play includes: a surviving victim, human/ghoul acquainted with the ghoul/their human persona, ghoul investigor who is assigned to the ragdoll case

 

Similar to how there are talent twins, vocal twins and what not for girlgroup applyfics, there are twins required for this story as well. If you're planning on applying with a ghoul character, you will need a kagune(ghoul twin) that you can base your character's kagune off of -  because making one up is hard and having a twin will be easier to visualise because there will be screenshots, manga caps and such available. Same applies for if you apply as a human, who is a ghoul investigator. You will need to find a quinque twin, for your character's quinque/weapon of use. You can also do so for masks, but that's optional cause making up a mask is easy, kind of. *You can find different sorts of kagune listed on the wiki(here). After you read all of those paragraphs about the RC Types; Ukaku, Koukaku, Rinkaku and Bikaku, there is a list of known kagune that you can pick and use as a reference for your ghoul character's kagune. For example, the ghoul Ragdoll's Rc Type is Koukaku and their Kagune(Ghoul Twin) is Matsumae(kagune). This practically applies for a CCG Ghoul Investigator and their Quinque too, do you catch my drift??

 

Masks are worn by ghouls to prevent their identities as 'humans' from being discovered by the CCG. Some of the masks also bear a sort of symbolic attachment, or representation. The CGG usually identify ghouls by their masks, or kagune and sometimes, eating habits. For example, Ragdoll and their habit of leaving the corpses looking like ragdolls

 

 

The Commission of Counter Ghoul (喰種対策局 "Ghoul Countermeasures Bureau"), otherwise known as the CCG, is a federal agency that serves as a criminal investigative body in cases connected to ghouls. They employ two different kinds of investigators: Ghoul Investigators, who are employed at the main office, carry out investigations and capture suspects. They are the only ones permitted to be armed with quinques. And Bureau Investigators, who deal with the paperwork and back up ghoul investigators when it's necessary. Most of them are employed at CCG's branch offices, and are armed with firearms loaded with Q bullets

 

A ghoul investigator is a specially trained professional employed by CCG. They are tasked with the investigation and incapacitation of ghouls to protect the civilians of Seoul and the rest of humanity from any potential harm that may be caused by ghouls. During their investigations, they scrutinize crime scenes for traces of ghoul suspects, expose the identities of ghouls and neutralize ghouls. Since the investigators lack the physique, stamina and strength to manually handle ghouls in combat, they are compelled to use tactical, man-made weapons. Ghoul investigators are permitted to be armed with quinques, the most effective weapons against ghouls which were made from kagune. A Quinque is a weapon that is fashioned from a ghoul's kagune. Manufactured from a ghoul's kakuhou, the quinque emits electrical signals that stimulate the kakuhou to release and control the kagune. The quinque can be made into various shapes like axes, guns, shields or blades to a degree, but most still retain some characteristics of the original kagune. Another difference between a quinque and a kagune is that former unlike the latter cannot change its shape nor store or absorb anymore Rc Cells other than what was harvested from the ghoul it was made from. click !!!

 

Ghouls are a carnivorous and cannibalistic species that are only able to feed on humans and other ghouls. They are as close to humans as possible: They normally have the same physical appearance and intelligence as a human with the exception of diet, mentality and inner biology. If certain rare conditions are met, ghouls and humans may even be able to have offspring, and a ghoul's organs can be successfully transplanted into a human. BAM MUST READ

 

A one-eyed ghoul is a human-ghoul-hybrid. Most ghouls treat their existence as an urban legend or have never heard of their existence at all. you really need to read this if you want to make a one-eyed ghoul character

 

A Kagune is a ghoul's predatory organ which functions as their weapon and claws. It is usually as red as blood and flexible like the flow of water, but firm and sturdy. A Kagune is composed of Rc cells, which flow just like blood and can become as solid as teeth. It can be described as "liquid muscles". The Rc cells are released from a kakuhou piercing the skin, and the released RC cells form the Kagune. A Kagune can be repeatedly hardened and softened at will by the ghoul. It also seems that the Kagune are voluntary muscles as ghouls can control them whenever they want. A kakuhou is a sack-like organ that is only present in ghouls. The purpose of the kakuhou is to store Rc cells. The nutrition contained in the Rc cells are absorbed by the ghoul. These cells are transported to the kakuhou in the blood and stored in there. The Rc cells can be released from the kakuhou piercing the skin either consciously or due to excitement.
