I'll Be There - Boyfriend

Narrator’s P.O.V:
It was a bright and early Saturday.
Since you were normally a lazy girl, you were still sound asleep. The analog clock on the wall read 6:59 am. The sun began to rise up from the sky as it slowly brightened up your room through the paned windows.
You unknowingly tossed and turned in your fluffy bed as you hugged your pillow, “Mmpf…” You mumbled in your sleep.
At that precise moment, a familiar person smiled at your house from outside. He slowly stepped onto your porch and stared at his wristwatch.
*Three… two… one.* He snapped his fingers together as the clock struck 7:00 am. From inside your house, the clock emitted a tiny chime.
A smirk spread on the boy’s face as he raised his hand and clicked the doorbell. *Rise and shine, _______.*
Ding dong!
Your eyebrow twitched after hearing the abrupt noise, but then it relaxed.
Ding dong!
Your eyebrows creased quickly. Who dared interrupt your sleep?
Ding dong! Ding dong!
Your eyes shot open. *What the…* You rubbed your eyes groggily. You sat up on your bed absentmindedly, not knowing what was going on.
The rings became impatient.
Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding—
You became cranky and stormed up to the door. You only became pissed off when you were woken up. Without even asking who it was, you swiftly opened the door, “WHAT?!”
“It took you long enough,” The person giggled.
You didn’t recognize the voice at all. It was an adorable but masculine voice. The tone was impeccably unique. You squinted your eyes to adjust from the brightness and eyed the person.
A young boy about the same age as you stood there in a shabby jacket that didn’t match him at all. A vintage white and red baseball cap sat upon his head. An innocent look was in his big doe eyes as his porcelain skin glittered in the sun. To put it simply, he was gorgeous.
A gentle grin overtook his lips as he chuckled again, “You alright there? You look like you just saw a ghost.”
You blinked once, then twice, then three times. You were dumbfounded as to why a complete stranger was talking to you as if he knew you very well. You scrutinized him suspiciously.
“Mister, who are you?”
The boy was surprised for a second, but laughed at your bluntness. His giggles sounded like tinkling bells.
“Allow me to introduce myself. I’m No Minwoo, your soulmate.” He giggled again and waved cutely.
You gawked at him. *That’s it. He’s shady.* You turned to close the door on him, but he quickly put his foot into the entryway, blocking you from closing it.
You raised at eyebrow at him questioningly as you folded your arms across your chest, “Listen, mister. I think you’ve got the wrong house. I’m not interested in any love gurus or anything like that.”
You continued, “It’s Saturday, and you’ve disturbed my sleep. Please don’t bother me anymore or else I’ll call 119 on you. Goodbye.” You said in a witty tone as you pulled on the door handle.
“Wait!” The boy known as Minwoo called out in a panicked voice. You froze and looked at him again. “First of all, I’m not ‘mister’. I’m Minwoo. And second of all, I’m not some random stranger. You know me. After all, you were the one that bought me.” He said as a-matter-of-fact.
You were bewildered, “What?”
Minwoo hastily searched his pockets for something until he heard a little jingle. *Aha.* He triumphantly pulled out a couple of dollars from his pocket. They glistened in the sunlight.
“I’m not lying, and I’m definitely not shady. See? I have the proof right here. You bought me.” Minwoo piped up excitedly.
“Look mister—“ You were cut off by your thoughts as Minwoo’s hat caught your eye. *Where have I seen that hat before…? Wait…. Don’t tell me that he was that homeless boy I saw yesterday….* You furrowed your eyebrows in thought as it all came back to you.
Very quietly, you patted your pockets for any loose change. You brightened when you pulled out a couple of dollars from your jacket pocket.
“It’s not much, but I hope you can buy something small with this.” You whispered softly as you placed the money in the little space inside the box.
You remembered seeing something on the side of the cardboard box, but you paid no attention to it then. However, the words came back to you.
Soulmate For Sale
You let out a tiny gasp as you thought back again and then stared at the boy in front of you. He gave you a tiny smile and put the dollars back into his tattered jean pocket.
“I guess you could say that I was ‘sent’ down to you too.” Minwoo paused with a mischievous smirk that you didn’t understand.
“Anyways,” He waved it off, “You believe me now, don’t you girlfriend?” He giggled once again.
You gulped and stood there, stunned. *What the heck have I gotten myself into?!*
