Judging
Weavers of Words, Spinners of Tales (WINNERS ANNOUNCED)The judging rubric that will be used for this contest is as follows.
TITLE (10/10)
-- Is your title catchy, unique, fitting to the tale that you've told?
Trust me when I say that naming your story the name of the original tale will get you low points.
PLOT (40/40)
-- How well do you portray the tale in your own words and own way? Does the plot make sense? Could I follow it easily?
What version of the story did you use, one of the already told versions, or something totally twisted? (hint: twisted will get you higher scores!)
GRAMMAR & SPELLING (20/20)
-- How well do you understand the use of grammar, and how seriously do you take your writing to avoid spelling errors?
CHARACTER DEVELOPEMENT (20/20)
-- How well did you bring your characters to life? Did you give them depth and personalities and dimensions to make them feel real? Do they have a good purpose and diversity, while still holding to the role they are playing for the tale?
OVERALL ENJOYMENT (10/10)
-- How much I enjoyed your re-telling of the tale you chose.
TOTAL (100/100)
I can reveal the scores of the stories at the end of the contest, but must have a commented request from each author to do so.
