The Bucket List
Description
Kwon Yuri was formerly a popular high school student whose reputation diminished after the death of her girlfriend, Jessica Jung. With a lack of personal support and a series of bad events piling up Yuri's life, she can only think about ending her life. Enter Yoona, another student who doesn't want her life to end after being faced with a life-or-death crisis. Yoona has never really had a chance to live her life the way she's wanted to, so her health counselor recommends that she creates a list of things she wants to do before she 'kicks the bucket'. After these two meet on awkward circumstances, the truth behind Yoona's bucket list begins to slowly unfold.

TRIGGER WARNING. PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE BEFORE PROCEEDING TO THE STORY.
The words beyond this notice contain hugely sensitive topics regarding suicide. The reason why I include this part here is for the purpose of the plot. Yuri's character is also meant to reflect my personality in real life, and frankly, I have been through her struggle in a different shape and form (ex. I do not live in Pacifica, etc.). A lesson is meant to be taught through this story. Due to the vulnerability of young people, if you are uncomfortable with this topic, I will notify you in certain sections where to skip to and I will highlight said text in this color. If you or someone you know is having suicidal thoughts, please seek out the help of a loved one, a mental health professional, a teacher or any trusted adult. Times like these can be confusing, sometimes you just need a little help. But I just want everyone to know that they are worthwhile and yes, your life is important. Get help now, right now, even if you have to wake someone up.
There are also some swear words, but they aren't used unreasonably and extensively. They are used for the sake of realism and expressing a character's frustation toward a certain subject, and with life being imitated (for example, bullying and depressing thoughts), it is not uncommon for me to hear those words in those situations. I will not filter them because I do not feel comfortable censoring words that express the severity of a situation. I understand that swear words are a turn-off to some people, and that is completely fine. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and this is just mine.

The first time I returned to my hometown, an overwhelming amount of loneliness enveloped me. But the solitude was bittersweet, and b with nostalgia: Past friends, schools, roadways, and landscapes. That brink moment of quietness was pure and graceful.
And then I realized why I didn't want to come back here.
For a city that is located relatively close to San Francisco, it's surprising how miserable this place is. It's small, gloomy, and it lacks the excitement of its big sister city. The weather here is terrible. In this town, nobody knows when the rain will stop. The clouds roll in like a white blanket that begins to suppress you every day, going on for months on end. The people here are not welcoming at all. In the eighteen years that I lived there, I can't tell you the number of times people wouldn't make the effort to smile or greet one other. It got to a point where I dreaded waking up every morning, knowing that I was in such a pathetic place.
