A mutineer of the crew, I plunged into the dark depths with the hope of drowning.  A hope of escaping a culture that fostered a suffocating chokehold on everybody and indecisiveness toward promoting a deserving officer.  Comrades made enemies. I now realise the lucky ones jumped the ship and drowned in freedom, but the admiral? The admiral is married to the sea.
