Until one day,  when he was fourteen, his parents lost everything. Jongup had everything, the life he was used to have, taken away from him. At least he still had his family, he thought then. Everything would be alright as long as they were together. That was what he told himself everyday, as he smiled as if nothing was wrong. But inside, he hated it all. He hated not having what he was used to, he hated that new house that was too small, he hated the food he had to make himself while his parents worked, he hated having to take care of his siblings by himself and explaining to them they couldn't have a new video game, a big birthday party, a goodnight kiss from their parents who were working until late at night. He missed his old life, living without a care in the world, having all he wanted in a blink of an eye. 

It was when a man approached him, making him promisses of money and luxury and the life he dreamed of if Jongup just followed him. He was seventeen then. At first, he declined the offer, but the man insisted, and it was so tempting that the boy ended up accepting it. He packed a few things and ran away from home, leaving to his family just a letter telling them to not go after him. 

The man wasn't lying to him, he really had a lot to give to Jongup, but of course it wouldn't be for free. Jongup was very naive at the time, more than he is now, and never imagined someone would be interested in his body, speacially a man. Fortunately, he managed to run away before the man did something worse than touching him here and there.

But then he saw himself alone, with nowhere to go. He never considered going back to his family's house, partly because he felt a horrible soon for leaving that way, partly afraid the man could find him again there. He started living on his own, and if the life he had back with his parents felt bad for him, this one is the worst. But he still tries to always have a smile on his face, believing his problems are only his and no one else has anything to do with it.

Jongup grew up a lot since then, becoming more mature, more aware of many things and also more private. But he is still naive and gets easily distracted, has a horrible sense of direction and many times fail to read the mood. He believes those who have no money are nothing, and wishes more than anything to be someone again. It's not like he would do anything for money, but he would go very far for it.
