When writing X Reader fics, how do you write the reader in your stories? Or how do you prefer reading it?

I don't read Y/N fics because they annoy my sight (and because they don't interest me much). If you're gonna write a fic with the reader in it, I think second POV, aka "you," works best. I voted "'name'" above because I thought it meant a random name, lol, but I realise I was wrong. Whoop

i don't really self-insert myself in OC stories but i'm more comfortable to read 2nd POV instead of reading [Y/N] or stuff like that. it makes me pause for a moment to actually insert my name everytime lol OTL
