Mystery, thriller, action, psychological. I really enjoy intrigue and plots which are well thought-out. Romance, to me, comes across as rarely being plot-heavy, and angst feels like it is often overdone in the name of explaining emotions. Fluffy stories are usually focused on things that I truly don't enjoy in real life (petty drama, pointless arguing, insecurities resulting in anger, bad communication), which is why I very often can't stand them. Plus, the humor in them tends to be awkward and very poorly written. Try to go for something that -you- want to write about, don't listen too much to the audience. Usually stories that are written with a passion become popular because the quality increases. You do you, friend.
