This is because not all Filipinos have access to the internet but cable TV can be accessible (even illegally). If people keep seeing you, they will just believe that what the TV shows is true. It's like constantly seeing a Chickenjoy commercial and you are conditioned to eventually buy it because you see how delicious it is. If you see a candidate that is appealing, you are conditioned to consider them for your vote.
