Well, rather than leaving it up to the readers (and random users who have not read your story), I believe that writing is a hobby that if you enjoy, do it. I think you can compare it to any other hobby. Should I continue the piano/ drawing/ dancing/ etc? Well if you're having second doubts you could always take a break and come back to it, but I don't think it's a choice that should be left up to others.
