I think the style is pretty similar, from what I remember. I think Baby fits in perfectly in the story, and it wouldn't be the same without him! (this is the only mpreg story that I read, I'm usually not a fan ;) )
It's great that for once, Kris is not the bad guy! I like him! Even Tao. And the dead husband was a good guy too :) It's different from the cliches
