Chapter 70: Bro Lucy and Jimin are so toxic but I am HOOKED on all their interactions... straight up addicting to see them hurt each other LMAO that's really not a good look for me. But after all the that Jimin pulled, I feel he deserved hearing Lucy saying she'll never love him back. Also I'm really only into seeing Lucy hurt Jimin, so maybe I just really want to see Jimin get wrecked, emotionally, as reparations for everything else he did. Like I have no idea what to think about Jimin anymore, he's big brained too much of it. He probably thinks he can do a better job leading and doing good with Kado/Hado, but considering his track record and all the cruel things he did for power alone, I truly doubt he'll be capable of doing anything good... he's too obsessed with respect and power for that. And he's frankly already showing signs of being a ty leader by reducing Lucy's compensation so much because he can't separate his personal feelings from something objectively bad that he did? That's abusing his power and in the future if they date that's 100% a power imbalance relationship right there... yikes.
To be fair, though, Jimin's brand of insane I guess is the kind of insanity that the Kado breeds, since Jimin and Lucy both got a task to murder someone in order to become JVC. I guess part of the reason why Jimin is so ed up is because of the system. It's hard to say right or wrong in terms of Jimin and Lucy's situation, because both are so toxic to each other, but I think Jimin definitely bears a little more of the blame in my eyes because he could have just not fulfilled his mission to kill Lucy, but he still ended up partially doing it (unless I'm remembering details wrong... maybe they were going to kill her anyways for not killing Meena, I'm not sure).
I LOVE Lucy and Joo, I'm so relieved to see she's ok again. Shoutout to Lucy for sassing Taehyung when he was being rude to Joo, standing up for her friends!! We all need a badass like Lucy as a friend. Maybe Taehyung deserves a little bit of emotional hurt too, for being such a ... but I guess I don't mean that, because his life got completely uprooted because of what Jimin did. I can forgive him for not being ok with it. I just want Taehyung and Joo to kiss and make up but part of me also wants Joo and Dev to get the out of Windsong and never see anyone they met there ever again, not a single magical being, for the sake of their mental health. Poor girl just wanted to do science and be smart...

Chapter 69: INTENSE. thats it. one word. there’s just a few ‘fishness’ (lmao) in the air on how Jimin is handling things. cuz the community been divided and competing since the old times, so is there any chance that he wants both KADO and HADO to just collapse and they make a new generation? tho still with Jimin as the Captain. i dunno. at first i was shook at how he lied about KADO and HADO working together tho all he want was getting the 4 elders to be off the picture. cuz i kinda think Jimin is lacking in parental love because of all the expectations towards him and all eyes on Lucy so he’s very burdened to the point being the Captain is his way to freedom and proof himself. thooo Tae, Jin, Jungkook doesnt seem to see anything good and felt they’re being used. i would feel the same too. tho Jimin isnt really a trustworthy person since the start due to his ambition lol well i’m blabbering. but, where’s lucy? is she gonna show up next?

Chapter 69: OK FIRST OF ALL TY FOR THE SHOUTOUT AHHH you rlly didn't have to shout me out......... i love u.............. honestly . to be 100% totally hecking honest. I literally at analysis so hard like I do not like using my brain or reading between the lines or drawing conclusions tbh English was easily my worst class in high school. So I find it super funny that you are highlighting my analysis skills bc normally they are not there I just like this fic a lot and I want to ramble about it to anyone who will listen...

BROOO oh my god. I knew Jimin wasn't gonna be a good guy at the end but I really didn't think his goals were THAT ambitious. I didn't think his intent to help Lucy was ever pure in the first place, since he was partially just trying to prove to the Council that he didn't absolutely things over... But holy mans just staged a coup and kind of got away with it?? Lucy was just a cog in the machine to make his plans work? He 5headed everyone????????
I guess we should start from the beginning though, with the Hado reveal. Man I feel so hurt and betrayed on Joo's behalf that they (but mostly Dev) could've thought she was colluding with the Hado. Like Dev, Tom, and Joo are the OG squad, they're supposed to be the closest, and I guess it just really makes me sad to think they don't fully realize that Joo was depressed out of her mind during her time at Windsong, and to think that they could believe that she would sabotage Lucy like that when Lucy was also part of their OG gang and also one of Joo's closest friends.
So that's a double ouch, and then the triple ouch is Joo's "What am I?" moment, with respect to Taehyung. Like honestly, absolutely valid question, they've barely had any time to really build a relationship that makes sense and they have some things to seriously work out. Especially with the way he's been treating her since he regained his memories about Lucy, it feels like he's going hot and cold with Joo again, like later at the banquet he runs to her side to get her out even though he didn't really want to talk to her beforehand... Don't do this Taehyung... treat her RIGHT!
I love me a good black tie event scene where the characters are all dressed to the 10s and there is a grand reveal and a MOMENT where time stops and they're like holy ... they so beautiful... and you served that and then kind of brought back "What am I?" thing from the previous chapter where she stopped and thought about truly how powerful he actually is and (this part might be me reaching too far) how she is very insignificant in this second world he lives in. That is another ouch.
I literally don't know what to expect next with Jimin taking power like that, like sure he's a power hungry person and manipulative af, but also without knowing what the Kado and Hado actually do, there's really no telling what Jimin is going to use his power for... Like his power hungriness served as his motivation to become the leader of the Kado, but now that he's there we don't have any hint of further motivation for him to use that power. Like sure, he might try to expand horizons and idk take down the Hado to become the one and most powerful sorcerer's organization in the country/world, but he's never expressed ambition to that extent... so it really leaves me wondering how this will go down!
