Aha nice ^^.

New year's usually consists of trying desperately to find my textbooks and chasing last minute hw meant to be done over three months since school starts the day after EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR OTL
Ah but Chinese new year... We younger ones get money from relatives, parents friends etc etc. What's not to love? And we can eat bak kwa!!! Which is like dried meat but nicer!!!!

I was watching anime.

I was working lol. But most people here celebrate New Years with friends or family (or both). Have a nice meal, drink good champagne, watch a small “movie” (20 minutes) before midnight, listens to the queen’s speech and then some jump (literally - gets up on a chair and jumps to the floor) into the new year when midnight strikes. (And then we drink some more and eat cake.)
