I think they become more active around school breaks and summer, when there's more time. Plus there was a bit of drama a few months back, that resulted in a group of people just up and leaving. But I also think some people are turned off by the fact that sooo many apply ficus never get started. So if you do your apply fic, you should just reassure everyone that you're in it for the long haul, you know? That way they'll feel a bit more secure with applying.

but i've been doing coed applyfics.
i think peoples are still interested,

it depends on the plot.
Ofcourse, but it still depends on how the applyfic was done (plot, love interests, company etc.) the inactiveness might be because of the school days and the rarety of users to go online thus days :))))
