@sheeiinewrites Yeah, I am :D I rarely see Canadians too XD. And yes! I know people who've published their fics and they've had no problems.

It is mentioned in their terms of use that by publishing your stories in AFF, you automatically make AFF your agent. They have rights to take down, edit, etc to your stories according to their rules, but they don't own the stories. There already are AFF authors who published their stories with names changed and such, and their profiles were once featured on front page, don't worry. XD

And hey you're from Canada too! I don't see too many Canadians on here.

@Emilieee Okay, that's good to hear, the only reason why I was concerned was because I have plans of turning one of my fanfictions into an original published novel (gonna change the names and all) and that wouldn't be good if AFF owned by story D: Thanks for informing me!

@sheeiinewrites I'm pretty sure it just means they're not accountable for the loss of your story if it's taken down for whatever reason. You probably don't need to stress about it :)

@Emilieee Yeah, that makes more sense hmmm... Maybe my friend got the wrong idea, I was even reading their policy and it mentioned nothing about that.

Well…I think they have the right to take your story down if there's content that goes against the rules, and they won't be responsible for your story if it's gone and you don't have it saved anywhere else, but I've never heard of them "owning" it per se.
