As for Wang So.. ahem... that ponytail... oohhh soooo good! His hair is like a highlight not to mention girls are going CRAZY over his jawline.. lol to tell u the truth I didnt notice it at first because his acting is so good I just got lost in all those emotions and the heartbreak that I felt for him... his mother is a B***H! UGH! Hate her!
Ahem.. and that last scene between him and Hae Soo.. sheet! The way he says YOU ARE MINE! Brrrr made me shiver.. BUT I really hope he doesnt become all crazy possessive.. apparently thats what happened in the Chinese version (I have heard on the net) and I really hope it doesnt happen here.. slight bit of possessiveness is ok even sweet.. but cross the line and u just become a BIG turn off..

Ok I will just start with... I LOVE WANG EUN! And I am not even saying this as an EXO-L... he is seriously such an adorable character and so well portrayed, not to mention he and Hae Soo together are a pair of new born puppies.. though in the 9th episode that sweet little puppy made me cry with his sad expressions and all.. spbsobsob

But luckily, Joongki is freaking amazing in real life too, he is so sweet and caring (Even though Wang So is like that on the inside too, haha)

Btw, don't remind me of the horse scene, i will never get over that D: lol

@Yeoniebb42 Maybe I'll watch that later. I haven't seen any C-dramas except that one brief foray into a drama that centred on the ladies within the royal court. I only remembered seeing that one episode where the girl gets the guy after she was presented with a hairpin that glows in the dark (poorly CGI'ed glowing effect) and allows the guy of royalty pedigree to catch her in the garden at the middle of the night and they fall in love. Honestly, I couldn't find the name of the drama. But yeah, it is interesting. Now, I'm motivated to start planing the fic, might take some time to finish.

@Gehrel i feel like the korean version is relying a little too much on the romance and the handsome close-ups but we'll see how it goes as the drama progresses~ i'd really recommend the chinese version though because chinese historical dramas often have super intense battles within the palace o_o

@Yeoniebb42 True. I'm watching Scarlet Heart for the political games between all interested parties for the throne. I did briefly entertain the idea of writing a fiction based on the drama, but without the time travelling and focused more on Wang So's journey to be king. I'd read up on some of historical bits on the first period of Goryeo and was surprised to see how young some of their kings were. Whether or not he finds love, that remains to be seen. Because all's fair in love and war, as the saying goes.

i really do want to focus more on the storyline tbh because its truly amazing especially with 4th prince's role but then the romance in the drama is to me equally entertaining ouo

@Yeoniebb42 Hmm, good question. If it's up to me, I'd get rid of the time-travelling aspect and see how the real Hae Su fares. As for pairings, that's a tricky question as I'm impartial to any pairings. Probably Hae Su successfully runs away from the palace and lives out her life to the fullest in some remote village where the politics of her Hae clan doesn't touch her. With a dorky shepherd that worships the ground she walks, whoever that shepherd may be. Haha.

@Gehrel oh wow, how do i even begin to answer this xD well ideally i'd have lady hae marry 13th prince and then i'd definitely abolish the policy allowing half-siblings to marry! after that i think things could go in any direction~ im honestly still torn between 4th prince and 8th prince ;-;
and oh i still have yet to see what the love interests of 10th prince and 13th prince will be like! o:

@Yeoniebb42 I haven't watch the C-drama so I cannot form an opinion on that. But yes, Lee Jun Ki's acting skills in sageuk drama are phenomenal, since some actors still have a hard time to adjust to acting in one.

If you were given the chance to rewrite the k-drama, what pairings do you have in mind? I'm curious.

@Yeoniebb42 I haven't seen the original C-drama, so I can't form an opinion on that. But yes, Lee Jun Ki's acting skills, especially in sageuk dramas, are exceptionally strong comparing to other actors in historical dramas.

If you are given the chance to rewrite the drama, what pairings do you wish to explore? I'm just curious. I for one, am not watching Scarlet Heart for the romance. I was attracted to it because it wasn't your typical sageuk dramas that often takes place in New Joseon period.

There's blood. There's . There's the throne that everyone covets like it's the top star on a Christmas tree. So, yeah. I would want to see the deadly competition for the throne to play out.

@mjup10969 awww yes, be a good girl and just watch the show without reading any spoilers ^^ a while back, i was addicted to the rerun of Princess's Man and i was too impatient to wait for the finale the next day so i read everything online and that was the worst decision ever T^T i hated the ending and it made me really mad and uncomfortable whilst watching the final episode of what had once been one of my favourite dramas :c /sighs

@Yeoniebb42 ahhhhhhh, like there are already a lot of shows where I had already watched a different version of it or happened to read the manga before and then realize that they were the same, I don't wanna ruin this one ;-;

@Gehrel this is actually my first time seeing lee joongki in a drama but i cant deny that his acting skills are mind-blowing o: the way he can so beautifully portray such emotion and all that heartbreak with his eyes alone when half his face is covered is beyond amazing!
honestly im still hoping theyll change that storyline and have yeonhwa lay low because the characters in the korean version have rather different personalities from in the chinese version so i strongly feel that the pairings should be different :c and it doesnt matter if itd disrupt history because neither maertai ruoxi or haesoo were meant to be in the past marrying anyone anyway ._.

I can't deny that Lee Jun Ki has chemistry with nearly anyone or anything in that drama. The relationship dynamic that intrigues me the most would be Wang So and Hwangbo Yeon-Hwa. Because earlier episode somewhere in EP3, I think. You just know that Yeon-Hwa harbours a certain attraction to So, and vice versa. So while I get that deep love So has Hae Su, it does make me wonder on the repercussions of Yeon-Hwa's attraction to So on her ambitions.

And having Wook who Yeon-Hwa was fiercely devoted to, thrown into the mixture for the throne, also has me questions on the possibility of sister vs. brother in their individual quests for the throne.

@Yeoniebb42 haha, I would go search for who Gwangjong is, but I don't want it to be spoiled XD I bet Gwangjong is the 3rd prince tho, if it's the 4th prince than it's all Hae Soo's fault for distancing herself from him and probably making him that way!

am i the only one who really likes the 3rd prince lol i think hes kinda hot xD let gwangjong remain a mystery and dont you dare go searching through history or the original chinese version~

like all the romantic moments and literally any scene with 4th prince tbh (except what he did to the horse omg i died with the poor creature ;-; and can i pls erase that temple scene from my memory ugh) okay so any scene where 4th prince isnt living up to his wolf dog nickname tbh lee joongki is such an amazing actor because idek how he can so beautifully portray that much emotion and all that heartbreak with his eyes alone when half his face is covered! the way his eyes water and his lips quiver /sighs dreamily
and i think being torn between 8th prince x haesoo and 4th prince x haesoo is everybodys problem and mine included D:

@Yeoniebb42 Right! Like I have a feeling in the end she's going to end up with the 4th prince because So is pretty awesome, but she seems to really like the 8th prince. At the same time though I ship her with the 10th prince Eun, because he makes her smile and he's goofy. I can basically she her with all the princes (I always forget their names by the way, even after 9 episodes), all besides the 3rd prince because I'm pretty sure he actually is Gwangjong. Now I want to rant about who Gwangjong could be ;-;
