Chapter 36: When my sister recommended this story to me, I thought to myself "why not? I have nothing better to do" (well not entirely true, but anyhow). I just read the first chapter and the story got me hooked. It truly is a Great Story (notice the capitals). The feelings in this story were something so simple, but at the same time complicated. It was a situation we knew, but at the same time a situation we cannot entirely relate to. How could we? We were never forbidden to date someone, we were never chased by crazy fans, we weren't publicly scrutinised all over the world for our ual orientation. At this point, I would like to thank you, author-nim, to have written such an amazing story, no such a Great Story. It was really compelling how you could, as a reader, follow the idols point of view and compare it to the companies point of view. Also the different reactions of the fans were really on point (which is somehow really sad). Through this story you could really see that there are many different facettes to a situation and that there usually isn't just one side in the wrong. Here both parties are not entirely wrong (they both have their reasons to act that way), they just don't work well together. We could read it here and also see it in the situation we all know so well.

Chapter 36: OMO I'm literally in tears from sadness and happiness. Thank you for writing this. The fandom needed this. You pulled in great issues with the industry: the untreated injuries; no rest/breaks; the lack of freedom. But by showing the side of the company, the idols, and the fan you captured how sometimes in life there are no white knights or villains. Just people doing the best they can in the situation and I think some fans really need to be reminded of that. I loved the ending with Kris walking baekhyun down the aisle and everyone being together again. It's my not so secret wish. I don't care if OT12 never takes the stage as a group, I just want to see them all together hanging out. I'm sorry, but I will never believe that they weren't truly brothers.
About the writing: I loved that you framed this story as Yixing being an author narrating his search for the "great story". A writer writing about a writer writing. It's so meta, I love it! This is the type of story where you could pull an E.L. James and rework it from fanfiction to mainstream literature. Just change names, remove obvious K-pop references, edit to smooth out some minor grammar/spelling errors, and maybe change a few genders (mainstream YA fiction seem to like a few gay couples in a story but too many and people start freaking out). It's a story that can appeal to mainstream audiences, not just EXO or K-pop fans. It's a great depiction of how messy life is. How we want to have it all but it's just not possible and making choices hurts. And you hit the nail on the head with your insight into why people join fandoms be it bands, tv shows, or sports team-people just want to belong to something bigger than themselves. And we do care, we always care. We hate change. I love how the end is so bittersweet because change (even good change) is bittersweet and hard to accept. Are you a psych major cause your insight into the human psyche is great!
