Chapter 26: I like this part: 'She was already bored of walking down the same dull, lifeless hospital hallways. But for Joohyun, she didn't mind.' Oh gosh, the suspense buildup was intense, with Seulgi already panicking after seeing the doctors, to her rushing in the lift and getting a call from Joohyun's mother... I was only thinking of the worst. I like this part too: 'her eyes were wide, letting in every ounce of the fading hospital lights'. Love the painful contrast in these lines: 'They could hear medical terms being thrown around from inside the ICU, but that sound was faint. So faint that it almost seemed peaceful from the outside.' It's like as if random passers-by wouldn't know what's going on in the room, only those family members of the patient would know. The scene where Wendy and Joohyun gave each other a hug made me tear up a little. I love how throughout this chapter, Seulgi didn't let go of the red carnation. It's like, usually when people receive shocking news they would drop things that they held in their hands, but Seulgi didn't. It's a good reflection of how she holds the love she has for Joohyun tight, despite any difficulties that go her way. The way you described Joohyun's appearance made me sad, I could imagine how Seulgi felt seeing the love of her life in that way. I'm so glad that the nurse said about Seulgi having an effect on Joohyun. That genuine laugh from Seulgi though, she must have felt a huge burden being lifted from her shoulders. Thank you for including the scene at the end. It was such a heartwarming scene. I like how you showed that Joohyun felt lost, but she was still able to feel. Thank you very much for this chapter!
