Chapter 52: my heart breaks for Tanya's parents. i get that TaeTan's madly in love with each other and they are sharing something so precious but for her to sacrifice everything, including her family, that just makes me cry. idk, maybe because i would always choose my family over everything else that's why i can't understand Tanya's logic but it just kinda feels wrong to me. i don't blame appa if he's indifferent with his daughter because i assume he's feeling abandoned by his pride and joy, his one and only precious daughter and i don't think it's just because he can't surrender his daughter (fathers tend to be like that with their daughters, right?) but because he had no choice but to let her go so soon, too soon. he has a lot of dreams for her daughter and he's hurt that he won't be able to be with her when she reaches them. and for her to choose Taehyung over them, that's like the worst betrayal for any parent. and i salute them for not forcing Tanya to stay with them even when they don't agree with her decisions.
Chapter 52: I don't know what to feel, author-nim... tbh I think this relationship is not healthy. However much I like the TaeTan ship, I can empathise more with Tanya's appa and omma. Also, no matter how great of a bi*ch the stepmom is... that refusal to hand over the company to Tae until he is of legal age is quite logical to me. I see both Taehyung and Tanya as adorable, little love-struck toddlers, but more than that... not that deep inside, they are both mentally weak. Tanya probably has an inferiority complex and some sort of a prince-charming disease. Tae has an even more messed up background and a sh**load of deamons to control. It's easy to think "Oh yeah... now that they've found one another everything is going to be juuust fine. The other one has what his/her partner needs." But you see, to me it doesn't look that way. To me, if you are thaaat broken and you don't find a way to bring yourself up and you hold onto dear life to another person just as messed up as you are, that is not healthy. Not in a million years. I am watching them grow even more lacking and it feels that they are going deeper into desperation. To throw everything out of the window, even your parents, who have been way more than understanding, just to stop your boyfriend from literally killing someone. To be soooo dependent to one person-your girlfriend- so much that you start to act like a madman (jealousy, need, want level 3000). Come oooon. That is nooot good.
