EDITED

“I’m going to get the doctor…” Sooyoung turned around and left the room.

Jessica was in shock. Her world didn’t remember who she was. Her knees gave away and leaned on Tiffany.

“What have I done Tiffany?” she said with no direction.

One of the nurses came into the room and told Tiffany that Jessica needed to get attention for her ribs. Tiffany nodded and brought Jessica out of the room to follow the nurse. Taeyeon and Sunny looked back at Hyoyeon with an annoyed expression.

“Okay, what was that all about?” Sunny tapped her foot on the floor.

“What was what about?” Hyoyeon said confusingly.

“We both know when you’re lying so spill it.” Taeyeon looked at her sister.

“Damn. Am I really that bad?” she laughed.

“Talk.” Sunny said.

“Okay. I woke up and I thought it would be a perfect opportunity except there are still some things a little bit fuzzy.”

“For what?” Taeyeon lifted her eyebrow up.

“Remember how I told you I forgave Sica already? Well I’m still having trouble so I thought what better way is there than to pretend like it never happened. That way I can act normally around her.”

Taeyeon rubbed her temples and sighed deeply.

“You know Sica probably feels like right now right?” Sunny said.

“I know but she’ll keep feeling like if I don’t do this.” Hyoyeon frowned at the thought of Jessica getting hurt.

“The things you do because of your god damn stubbornness.”

“Hey! Come on! Keep this from the others okay? Please!” Hyoyeon begged.

“Okay fine.” Sunny reluctantly agreed.

“Thanks! I love you guys! And you know I mean it—

“Because ‘I love you’ is not something I say to anyone” Taeyeon and Sunny recited rolling their eyes.

“Wow. Do I really say it that much?”

They both nodded.

“So what things do you remember?” Taeyeon looked at her.

“Um… the night at the club when we went to celebrate. Also how I forgave Sica a long time ago but I’m stubborn and just pushing Sica out of the way so she couldn’t get her.”

“Anything else besides that?” Sunny asked.

“Nope.” Hyoyeon shrugged.

Right then Sooyoung came back with the doctor and he checked Hyoyeon for any signs of mental damage.

“Well she looks fine to me. It’s probably from shock. She’ll remember soon enough and when she does, her head will hurt a bit. So when that happens,” the doctor wrote something down on the prescription pad and handed it to Sooyoung, “give her these.”

“Thank you,” Sooyoung bowed and he walked out.

“Oh wait! She’ll be able to leave right now if she wants to,” He came back.

“What? That early?!” Sunny looked at him doubtfully.

“There’s nothing wrong with her, she’s just beat up.” He shrugged. “So do you want to leave now?”

“Yeah, I don’t want to eat hospital food for dinner.” Hyoyeon shivered.

“Haha alright I’ll be back in a few with your release papers.” He walked out.

Jessica walked back in sullen. Tiffany was behind her just in case she was to fall. She sat down on one of the single sofas and sighed.

“So is everything with you okay?” Sooyoung asked concerned.

“Yeah I’m fine. I just have a big bruise that’s all,” she answered depressed.

“Why are you so sad?” Hyoyeon asked.

“Huh?” Jessica looked at her confused.

“You’re fine but you look like you're the one who got hit by a truck. Why?”

Taeyeon and Sunny looked at Hyoyeon with an ‘are you kidding me glare’. Hyoyeon looked at them with a bright smile and eyed them. Through telepathy she said “Come on, work with me here!”

“I’m the one who cause you to look like that.” Jessica pointed at Hyoyeon.

“Well if you were the cause then I’m glad you didn’t get hurt. The doctor told me I was hit by a large truck so I suppose I saved you?”

Jessica just nodded not knowing what to say.

“Um I guessed that you’re not some stranger I randomly saved,” she looked at Taeyeon, “sis, who is she to me?”

“Uhhhhhh… She lives with us because she needed a place to stay and she is your roommate. She’s also the main in the musical you are choreographing for.” Taeyeon awkwardly responded.

“She rooms with me? But how is that possible? I bright guys home practically every other day.” She acted confused.

“Uhhh about that…” Sunny budded in. “We… all haven’t gone to the club in a while…”

“What? Why?”

“W

Chapter 50: WHY IS THIS SO GOOD? I know why, because you are an amazing writer who only gets better with each chapter and your progression of the story was very much more believable than most stories in which "they got together after first sight". You developed the characters and gave them their flaws and their strengths and how that translated into the story was amazing. It looks like Punch could be an entire spinoff/sequel story on its own, but I feel content with you not doing a sequel and that's a good thing. Its one thing to leave your readers wanting more, but to do that AND make them feel content without more is a weird paradox you accomplished. Your writing style is not the most sophisticated or fancy, but its one that allows for many readers to enjoy simply, but has enough complexity to make it leave no questions unanswered. I loved this story and can't wait to read more from you
