“Are you still in school?” Taeyeon asked Sooyoung. They were at the dining room having dinner. Taeyeon was sitting opposite of Sooyoung. “Not at the moment, but I’m planning to.” Sooyoung answered honestly. Taeyeon then glanced at Tiffany.

“I think its great Sooyoung.” Tiffany smiled as she looked at the young girl. “How long have you been working at the bookstore?” Again Taeyeon asked.

“Why are you so interested at her?” Tiffany looked at her friend with a smile. “I just wanna get to know her.” Taeyeon answered innocently. Tiffany knew what was running through her friend’s mind.

“Education is important.” Suddenly Taeyeon said. “I do agree.” Sooyoung replied. “You at least finished school right?” Taeyeon asked in skeptical.

“Tae, that’s enough.” Tiffany said calmly.

“It’s okay.” Sooyoung said, trying to act as calm as Tiffany. “I did finish school. It’s just that at the moment I couldn’t afford to go further.” Sooyoung explained. “Do you have any interests?” Tiffany was the one who asked this time. She gave Sooyoung a beautiful smile.

Taeyeon was just staring at them. “I do love to write.” Sooyoung revealed. “Really? Can I read some of your work?” Tiffany asked elegantly. “Hmm.. I don’t know. I’ve never showed it to anyone.” Sooyoung said. “Invite me around to your place next time.” Tiffany gave Sooyoung a wink. “I will.” Sooyoung smiled in joy.

After the dinner, Sooyoung head back to the living room. She saw that Tiffany and Taeyeon was talking in the kitchen, she couldn’t hear what they were talking about. She then went towards the window and looked outside. “Ms Sooyoung, I brought you tea.” Suddenly Mrs Kim’s voice was heard from behind.

“Thank you so much. You don’t have to really.” Sooyoung slowly took the cup. It was hot.

“I know. Look, I’m just trying to be nice. She sent me a card; I thanked her by inviting her to lunch.” Tiffany explained. “and since she didn’t have any plans for Christmas Eve, I just invited her over.” She added.

“She looks a bit weird. I mean there’s something about her.” Taeyeon said. “She’s quite reserved.” Tiffany said. “And so young. I feel so old.” Taeyeon joked.
