TWENTY-SEVEN ♔
BloNote ➻ GYoon Edition"Oppa...!"
I heard the door clicked open and her shout rang immediately after. I got up from the sofa, opening my arms wide. Her eyes were red and puffy as she removed her sunglasses, pouting away and came into my embrace.
"Aigoo, come here," I gave a defeated smile as I hugged her tight, rubbing her back. "Silly, there's nothing to cry about."
"I'm a bad person. I should have been more careful..." She broke into another fresh round of tears, burying her face into my chest.
"I saw the comments are mostly positive. The reporters have nothing better to report about recently," I coaxed, running through her hair with my fingers, an action that always calms her down.
"What wrong have I done...?" She looked up at me, eyes filled with tears.
Such a pitiful expression that it melted my heart.
"Let's go," I took her hand into mine, pulling her out to the backyard.
"Y-Yah! Why are we going out? It's raining outside!" She grumbled but I continued to drag her out. "Kwon Ji Yonggggg!"
We went out and it was indeed pouring. Within minutes, we were drenched.
"Yah! What are you doing!" She had her hands over her head in a vain attempt to shield off the rain. "We're going to get sick!"
"Baby, look," I pried her hands apart, pinning them down to the sides.
I let her face outside, watching the passerbys scuttling away, trying to avoid the sudden downpour.
"What I'm trying to tell you is," I turned her around again, resting my hands on her shoulders. "You're not the only one."
She fell silent, biting her lips.
"Look, when it rains and you're not under the shelter, you'll be soaked," I caressed her cheeks, softening my gaze, "but you're not the only one... There will bound to be others who forgot to bring an umbrella or they just had a quarrel with their other half and got chased out of the house or well, beggars roaming along the streets who don't even have enough to eat, let alone having a shelter above their head. Bottom line is, everyone will bound to experience hardships at different point of their lives and Yoong, you're not the only one. The rain will eventually stop, a rainbow will appear, just like how your matter will blow off and everyone will love Im Yoona still."
She kept quiet for a moment before pouting, "why is it that you always have some wise words to impart?"
I laughed, pinching her nose, "I ain't call the genius composer for nothing."
"Self-conceited much," she snorted.
Looking deep into her eyes as she finally stopped crying, I was mesmerized. Technically, I was since years back, am still and I think I would forever be mesmerized by this woman. All of a sudden, be it out of impulse or perhaps, it's been inside my heart for the longest time ever, I grabbed onto her wrist tight.
"Yoong, will you marry me?"
I watched her eyes went wide.
"T-That escalated a bit too quickly," She feigned coughs, pretended to be chic about it.
"Come on, I thought we'd gone way passed the stage. I waited one year for you to get out of your heartbreak, you waited two years for my army and well, we're even going to shops to look at wedding rings. Isn't that an obvious sign already?" I chuckled. "You even told me about your ideal wedding remember?"
"I only remember we ended up not buying any and that you fell asleep on me," she corrected. "No ring nor flower. No kneeling down on one knee nor sugar-coated romantic words. This is nowhere near my ideal proposal, Kwon Ji Yong."
"But there's me," I arched my brows. "That's the most important no?"
She finally broke into a smile as she sighed, her hand reaching out, "yah, do something quick before I regret this crazy decision."
My smile extended into a huge, silly grin as I removed one of my ring accessory swiftly, sliding into her finger. She giggled and threw her arms around me, as I spun her around.
"Alrights, let's go wash up. We're supposed to have dinner at Dolce Vita. Dami noona's birthday," I finally let her down and patted her .
"Oh right! Yoonjung unnie called to remind earlier on as well, asking us to not be late," she pouted again. "It's all your fault, Kwon Ji Yong. Now we can't even head out like that!"
"Let's wash together," I smiled cheekily.
"You wish! No romantic proposal so no kisses for you tonight too!" She stuck out her tongue and ran back into the house.
I could only smile.
