Chapter 14

“It’s D-Day!” Yunho cheered as flew up with his wings. The dragon boy made sure he got his dance move perfect because he would have solo dance part. He had practice so hard and he couldn’t wait to get to school.

Behind him, his mother laughed at his son behavior. There’s nothing could stop her son when he’s that excited. Finished packing his son back, she gave it to the excited dragon boy. Yunho thanked his mother as he rushed to the front door. Giving his mother a goodbye kiss, Yunho finally departed to his destination.

On the way, Yunho couldn’t help but to jump when he’s walking few steps. He’s happy because he could finally do something he had been waiting for. Actually, he made secret promise to his buddy, the merman boy and the-not-so-honest-vampire-boy-with-his-own-feeling. They would do something to their partner when they’re dancing in pair. He couldn’t wait but to look forward how Jaejoongie’s reaction would be.

“I can’t sleep last night…” suddenly a voice came out from Yunho’s back as the dragon boy swore he almost shocked-fly.

“…Chunnie, you’re startled me,” Yunho sighed as he took a deep breath.

“Me neither, it’s your entire fault for such sudden secret plan, hyung,” the vampire boy appeared behind the merman boy, causing Yunho to almost shocked-fly again.

“Yaaa! Stop doing that,” Yunho complained,” I wasn’t able to sleep well too, since you know…today…I have to…do…that thing to…Joongie…”

The dragon boy’s face flared up red. Changmin sighed as he put his palms on his face. Yoochun could only look at the floor until they reached the school gate.

“You!!!” Kyuhyun’s voice caused the three boys to freeze on spot,” Bad vampire! How can you leave me back there!”

“You’re with Jaejoong and Junsu, you’ll okay,” Changmin spoke as he wouldn’t show his blushing face to the ghost. Kyuhyun noticed something was up with the vampire but he decided to let it go.

“Yunnie~” Jaejoong followed as he hugged Yunho tightly,” I miss you…”

“Chunnie~” Junsu whined cutely as he copied Jaejoong, hugging Yoochun,” Miss you so much…”

“Minnie~ I miss---“ Kyuhyun was about to join too but the vampire managed to get away from his hug.

“Let’s just---prepare for our performance,” Changmin spoke in hurry as he dashed inside the school. Kyuhyun pouted.

“Minnie is just nervous,” Yunho tried to explain,” Let’s get ready guys.”

So they went inside their class to take their attendance for the day. Then, they made their way to their seat to get their custom from their bag. It was animal customs for their performance today. Their parents prepared it for them and they just knew what animal they would be this moment.

“I’m a lion!” Jaejoong said happily in his custom,” And you’re a tiger, Yunnie!”

“Chunnie is a pink bunny!” Junsu smiled happily,” and I’m a white sheep!”

“I’m a deer…vampire deer…it even rhymes….” Changmin was lost at words,” Kyu, what will you wear today?”

“Well, since I’m a ghost, I can wear anything I want,” Kyuhyun explained,” Any suggestion?”

“…Penguin,” Changmin answered without thinking and then white smoke gathered around Kyuhyun. He was in penguin custom the next second. Changmin couldn’t close his mouth for few seconds before he gave his approving nods.

“It’s so cuteee~~~” Junsu squealed.

“I wish I can change my cloth as fast as Hyunie,” Yoochun commented.

“Everyone,” suddenly the teacher spoke to the class,” Please follow me to the auditorium, okay?”

The students did as they were told. The six boys walked together until they reached their seats in the auditorium. The room was huge for them and they could see other class performance on the stage. They couldn’t help but to forget their nervousness for a while. There were so many things performed, such as martial arts, which caught Yunho’s attention; musical play, which Junsu loved so much; horror drama, which Kyuhyun enjoyed so much, but not for the vampire boy.

Then, Yunho felt light touch on his shoulder when the teacher told them to get ready. The next performance was theirs. So they followed the teacher to the backstage and did last checking. Yunho as the leader, made sure the small mike was put correctly on them, one by one. Then, they made a circle.

“Let’s do our best, Cassiopeia fighting!” they shouted together. Then the stage light went out and they slowly got into their position. When the light was back on, the background song began to echo in the room.

“Jinagabeorin~ eorin sijeoren~ pungseoneul tago~ naraganeun yeppeun kkumdo kkueotji~ noran pungseoni~ haneureul nalmyeon~ nae maeumedo~ areumdaun gieokdeuri saenggangna~,” the six boys sang and danced their opening act perfectly. Then it’s Changmin’s solo, followed by Yoochun, Junsu and then Jaejoong. Next the chorus came and they did their wave dance. Everything was perfect.

For the second verse, they danced in couple. Yunho almost flew as he saw how beautiful his Joongie was. Yoochun was awestruck by how cute his Suie was. Changmin was trying to keep his cool but there’s slight blush on his cheek when he saw Kyuhyun winked at him.

The audience was clapping their hands. Their performance was well-liked and it made them wanted to perform even better. They did their best as they reached the second chorus, then the bridge. Yunho got his time perfectly as he danced in front of the others. The audience grew even louder. Just before the dragon boy returned to his position, he gave the signal.

Yoochun and Changmin saw it. There’s only the last chorus left. They did the wave dance and everything went beyond perfect. Just as they finished singing and the background music was still much alive, Yunho, Yoochun, and Changmin pulled their dance partner closer.

“I love you, Joongie,” Yunho said before he kissed the surprised elf on his lips.

“Love you Suie,” Yoochun went red tomato as he pressed his lips on the cute nymph.

“You’re mine,” Changmin simply said as he pulled the ghost till their lips touched.

The audience wasn’t expecting that but they couldn’t help but to cheer loudly. Jaejoong, Junsu, and Kyuhyun weren’t expecting that as well. It was weird how their heart almost burst from the kiss. Jaejoong could only close his eyes tightly as he did his best to reply Yunho’s kiss. Junsu pouted cutely as he was smiling with his eyes. Kyuhyun couldn’t help it as he jumped on the vampire boy.

“Ehem,” the teacher’s voice woke the couples from their sweet dream. The song had ended and the couples blushed madly as they bowed their head and exited the stage. The next performers made their way to the stage but it was clear their last act made long-lasting effect on the audience.

“Ummm…Umm…” Jaejoong was lost at word as Yunho simply hugged him.

“I’m so embarrassed,” Junsu admitted as he put his palms on his blushing cheek, too cute for the merman boy.

“I’m beyond happy,” Kyuhyun flew across the backstage as he continued,” I never think the three of you can be that bold in the public, especially you, my vampire~”

“We’re marking our territories,” Changmin simply said as he got his blood bag out of nowhere; he didn’t know why he felt so anemic all of the sudden. Maybe the kiss took more toll than he thought it would.

“I love you too, Yunnie~” Jaejoong finally managed to look up to Yunho as he gave the lips a light peck.

“Love you, Chunnie, so much~” Junsu cheered as he hugged Yoochun tightly.

“And you’re also mine,” Kyuhyun winked as he jumped into the vampire from behind, causing the vampire to groan. All of them were laughing happily as their hearts settled for their special person. It was an innocent act because they somehow loved one deeper than the others, even they didn’t know why. Yet, someday they would realize what that simple act meant and what their hearts truly desired.
