chapter seven |
Catching Snowflakes
“Once again, why are you wearing a mask?” I asked, eyeing Daehyun who had a black mask covering practically half his face.
“It’s cold. And my face is cold so this keeps it warm.” he replied as I rolled my eyes.
We continued walking for a few minutes, receiving some occasional strange stares from passengers crossing by. “This is so awkward. It’s like I’m walking with a kpop idol or something.”
He chuckled as I blushed slightly. “Although you’re perfect enough to become one..” I mumbled to myself as he let out another laugh from under the mask.
“I’m perfect aren’t I?” he flipped his hair in a diva - like manner as I scoffed and punched his arm playfully.
“Arrogant now are we?” I continued walking down the street for a couple minutes before turning around to talk to Daehyun, only to find out he was no longer behind me.
“Did that child get lost? Oh god.” I groaned, scanning the population of people on the street in search of him. After 5 minutes of searching, I sighed in defeat. I should try calling him.
I suddenly felt a pair of cold hands touching my ear as a deep voice whispered, “Miss me?” His warm breath sent chills down my spine.
“Yah! Dae--” I stopped when I felt noticed that there was something on my mouth. Reaching my hand up to touch my face, I gasped slightly when I felt a mask there.
I looked up to see Daehyun. I was positive he was giving me one of his big smiles. You can already tell by the big twinkle in his eyes. “There~ I ran off to buy it. Now we can both be kpop idols together.” he stated as I giggled. The boy and his imagination.
His hands intertwined in mine's as we continued to walk down the street.
“Don’t you think I look like a ninja like this?” he suddenly blurted as I raised my eyebrow at him.
“If you were a ninja, you’d be killed within 3 seconds while fighting with your opponent.” I said as he pouted.
“No. I’ll make my opponent fall for this beautiful face of mine. That’s all I need to do.”
“What if the person was a guy?”
..Silence.
“I’d run away screaming.”
I laughed at his response and walked away as Daehyun caught up to me. He continued talking nonstop during the walk as I sighed.
“I thought you were supposed to be a ninja?” I questioned as he blinked at me innocently. “So?”
“Ninjas are supposed to be quiet and calm. And you’re well...you.”
“I can be quiet and calm!” he argued back as I narrowed my eyes at him.
“Prove it then. Be quiet for 3 minutes without being hyper or talking.” I instructed as he nodded obediently.
… 3 seconds later.
“Hey. What do you think about midget pandas?”
• He’s probably the most talkative ninja you’ll ever meet.
