Ring. Ring.

Pulls pillow over head.

Ring. Continues ringing.

Ugh.

I grabbed my phone from the nightstand and clicked the answer button. “Who is this?” I answer groggily as I hear a quiet giggle from the other side of the phone line.

“Sunshine!” I groaned, knowing who it was right away. “Daehyun. Do you know what time it is?” I questioned as he chuckled to himself. “Yeah. 3 in the morning.”

“Then why the hell are you calling me?!” I half shouted into the phone as I buried my face even more into the pillows. Goddamn this kid.

“I just wanted to say I love you.” I could almost see him with his idiotic smile.

“Aw. Okay sweet. But. Daehyun! It is in 3 in the morning and you don’t just call a girl at three just to say I love you! Beauty sleep is important! Do you want your girlfriend to wake up looking like a panda in the morning?!” I rambled, sitting up on the bed.

“But but..I wanted to say Merry Christmas too! Merry Christmas sunshine!” I sighed. Sunshine. That is so not me right now.

“Alright. Bye Daehyun.”

“No! Wait! I’ll sing you to sleep! Like maybe a little --”

“Hanging up.”

“Noo! Waaitt! One song? Or I’m going to cry and wail until Himchan hyung wakes ups and kill me for interrupting his beauty sleep! Do you want your lovable boyfriend to die?” I was almost sure he was sitting on his bed, pouting as if I was there to see.

“Yes.” I answered bluntly as I heard more whining from the phone.

“Baek Suuull~” I groaned. Why is this child my boyfriend?

“Fine. You can sing.” I reluctantly agreed, flopping back down onto the bed with the phone pressed against my ear.

He cheers and begins to sing his song. My eyes slowly drop as I hear his voice through the phone. It’s not that bad waking up at three now, considering I get to hear this lovely voice singing to me. He hits all the notes perfectly, reaching his last high note at the very end. God. Why is his singing so perfect.

“Sleep well sunshine.” he whispers, disconnecting the call as I drift into a deep slumber once again. His voice was still ringing in my head. Jung Daehyun you life ruiner.
