Falling for the Clumsy Sun

One year...

"Oppa?" Yongsun called out from the backdoor to the empty unlit studio of her husband. but no one answered. As her hands managed to search the walls for the light switch, she flicked all buttons she had but not one of them worked. Feeling a little worried and scared, she took a step outside the backdoor and checked if the cctv was working or not. Fishing her phone out of her bag, she kept her eyes on the unlit inside of the building while scrambling to dial her husband's number.

Why isn't he answering? She asked herself after the first ring. Having her call picked up on the third ring, she perked up. "Oppa! W-where are you?" She asked in a whispered worry acting paranoid as she kept staring inside the room.

"Eoh? I'm at the studio. Wae?" Eric answered nonchalantly.

"Oppa! What do you mean wae?" She huffed confused at his tone. "You called me to meet up with you at the studio for dinner. I'm here and everything's dark. The light switch doesn't work. Where are you really?"  She asked still keeping her distance from the inside but keeping her eyes inside.

"Eoh? I'm at the office. Did you try the switch on your right?" He asked still with a calm and cool tone that Yongsun couldn't read.

Still unable to figure out what it is, she brushed it off as her paranoia. "The right side?" She asked as she took a step and let her hand feel the wall.

"Mmhm. It's not placed on the wall so you should just wave your hand around and if you grab on something swinging that would be it." He answered.

Swinging? Grab? She retrieved her hands as quick as she can and took two steps back again. "Oppa... You're not trying to prank me are you? Can't you just come out meet me?"

"I'm not, love. And I'm sorry but I can't. I'm in the dark room and I have a batch I'm trying to dry. I can't risk it getting exposed because one of my crew damaged the film." Eric said sounding a bit stressed. "Trust me, honey. It's just you and me here."

Yongsun pouted a little before giving him an okay.

As soon as she found the swinging light switch, she flicked it on and squealed almost falling face first on the floor when someone pushed her in and slammed the door shut.

"Eeek!" She squealed more in shock walking backwards as she turned her head to see who it was who pushed her when she stopped for a bigger surprise from her surrounding. Following that light switch, she saw that it was being held up by a post while its connecting cords is lined up on the floor as a pathline and a board that told her to follow the lights.

Follow me... Sure. Why not shove me whereever this leads anyway? She deadpanned herself before jumping and squealing one more time when her phone ringed. She placed a hand on her chest and told herself to breath before answering the call.

"Did you see sign?" Eric asked as soon as she picked up.

"E-eoh. But oppa... What is going on? Why-" She couldn't finish he cut her off. "Love, follow the lights. Trust me." Eric said before ending the call.

"Yahh~!" She whined glaring at the phone before putting it down to read the sign again.

Bordering on annoyance and paranoia, Yongsun stomped her feet like a bratt and followed the light taking small cautious steps. Soon, she passed through the corridors and three showrooms.

As she took a few more steps, she noticed that she was walking in to one of the sets Eric would usual have wedding photoshoots. The door was open with only the curtain separating her from coming in through the room.

"O-oppa. Y-yeobo? Eric-"

She squeaked and jumped when a hand reached out between the curtains followed by her husband's chuckle.

"Come on in, hon." Eric said finally showing himself as he pushed aside one of the curtains so he could gently pull in his wife.

Yongsun couldn't hlep but gasp at the sight. "Oppa... W-what... You said..."

Eric chuckled and cupped her cheeks planting a kiss on her lips. "Happy anniversary, Kim Yongsun-ssi."

With him using her maiden name, Yongsun raised a brow. "Eh?? Our anniversary isn't until a week from now. What..." One thing click and she looked at Eric who still had a wide grin on his face and she couldn't help but reach her hand out to his face and place a chaste kiss. "You meant the first day we met."

"Happy Anniversary. Do you like it?" Eric asked making her turn around and wrapping his arms around her sides.

"Very much. Happy Anniversary too." She said leaning her head back on his chest. "Sorry I forgot..."

Eric chuckled and pulled her to take a seat. "You actually greeted me first as soon as you woke up."

"Eh? I did?"

"Eoh. Now take a seat and let's have dinner before it gets cold." He said only then did she notice the food in front of her. "Someone tld me you skipped lunch today so you better eat a lot."

Yongsun pouted and groaned knowing how one of the girls acted as a spy for her husband.

"You know it's not fair that you keep tabs on me using my kids when your staff barely tell me things even when I try to bribe them."

"That just means they're loyal." He chuckled putting a pile of food on her plate making her whine. "That's too much!"

"Aniya. You are going to eat all of it." He said wriggling his brows.

"But... But..." She looked at the bunch of food she had on her plate and usually, she could eat more considering she always had a big appetite but due to the fact taht she was watching her diet, she recently started reducing her meals in good portions. "Oppa~"

"Oho... I guess my other surprise will have to wait then." He mocked a sigh got up and carried a tripod with a canvas covered in blue velvet cloth that Yongsun had only noticed then.

Yongsun protested with a whine and a pout - something she also recently noticed how she's been doing it more and more lately when he teases her. Besides, when Eric says he has a surprise, and though she wasn't much of a material girl, she always liked his surprises because most of it are amazing and totally breath taking pictures he's taken from some of his travels.

In all, during their first year as married couple's,  he'd presented her four of his best ever taken photographs which he could sell for millions but would rather give it to his wife instead.

"Fine. I'll eat it." Yongsun grumbled and he grinned like a hyena.

"I'm just kidding." Eric said. "Eat what you can but don't think I'll let you off when I see you trying to stop yourself."

A little annoyed, she just stuck her tongue out to as well.

After the meal, Yongsun was somehow sidetracked when she and Eric had started talking about how they met.

But... Although it may seem like she was being side tracked, it was more of Eric trying to ease his way in...

Eric had just fed her a spoonful of her favrite binsoo when he decided that he's waited long enough.

"Oppa, what is it?" Yongsun said before he could even open his mouth. "You've been somewhat rambling since ten minutes ago and i just can't help but think that this has something to do with that." She continued and pointed at the blue velvet covered canvas.

He just blinked taken aback at how she was so insync with him.

"Ah-... Ah-"

Yongsun grinned mischieviously and attempted to unravel the surprise but he was faster and closer to the portrait that he managed to hug his wife away from the canvas.

"Yeah! Too slow, hon." Eric exclaimed unknowingly with his wife giving him a pouty response. Giving in to her aegyo, he sighed  shaking his head off.

"Arasso. Arasso. I'll show you but there's something you have to understand..." Eric's tone became a bit serious and a little shaky making her react almost the same. "E-eoh? What is it?"

"Uhm... Remember how you, me and mom went shopping for your dress?" He asked and almost stomped at himself for asking a stupid question. What kind of woman forgets the detail - even the smallest bits, of preparing her own wedding?

"Eoh." Yongsun responded with a slight annoyance in her tone. "I remember how easy it was for you to get close to Byulyi."

As cute as it is to see how she gets jealous, he had to focus himself to get to what he wanted to say. "About that... It's not how you think it is. But she does somehow have a role in what I have to say."

A pregnant pause came to and Yongsun couldn't help but groan and smack her chest in frustration. "Ah! Dapdaphae! Palli! Palli!"

"Okay! Okay. Okay. I just... I just need you to sit down for this one and please...." He held her by the shoulder and  helped her sit back down. "Please don't think of me as a creep." He said and pulled the velvety cover off  and just thought of going along with whatever questions she was going to throw at him.

With eyes closed tight, he could only hear how his wife gasped before a pause ensued and then heard a chair being pushed back and her slow quiet steps. It took a few agonizing minutes before he felt her hands reached out to cup his jaws and her lips meeting his.

It wasn't a peck but it was slow and sweet kiss which made him feel a bit more at ease.

"You're not mad?" He asked cupping her face searching her eyes for any doubt or disbelief towards him.

Yongsun chuckled and gave him another peck. "Should I be? Besides, you still have to tell me how you have this. Last I check, Yong-appa had this in his coll-"

"Collections. I know." Eric finished for her as he caressed her cheeks with his shaky fingers. "Except... This. This is the original. "

Stunned and confused, Eric didn't leave space for her to ask him questions as he retold stories of how he ended up running and now owning, the Nam Gallery.

"Truth is, I never planned on staying in Korea this long. Heck, I never even thought that I'd get married." How he said it made Yongsun's brows creased to which he explained himself. "No no no. No, love. That's not what I meant. I just... I never imagined seeing you that day would change everything for me."

"Huh? What... You're really making me even more confuse, oppa." Yongsun muttered.

"You know how I always tell you where and how I shot my portraits and landscapes, right?" She nodded. "Well, the story for this one goes like this..."

For the next couple of minutes, he retold the story of how he'd only planned to stay in the country for a maximum of a year before heading back to the US when he saw this girl one day and he just couldin't find himself leaving without knowing who the girl was. (Chap. 1)

"When Byul slipped me that paper with your name on it, I felt like an idiot because I couldn't even manage to keep it for a day." And for that reason, Eric started laughing at himself remembering how he reacted to the matter.

"What? What's funny?" Yongsun asked.

"I basically tortured Eddie and Brian over video calls and phone calls for the next couple of months after losing that piece of paper. I mean, I already had your name and face etched deep in me and I just acted like a bratty teenager yelling and nagging at them both for things I know they haven't done but were about to do."

He laughed and Yongsun laughed with him. "You should've seen me."

Yongsun chortled. "Oh, I don't have to." She said teasing him.

"Uhuh. And what does that suppose to mean?" A playful smirk came to showed it's way to her lips and Eric caught on. "You are so going to get it Mrs. Nam."

"Aniya! Andwae!" She shrieked and pushed him away but before long, he caught her with his arms wrapped around her waist tickling her to a fit until they both fell down on the sheet covered mat his crew help him set for their anniversary dinner.

"Tonight was really great." Yongsun said breaking the silence as she and her husband laid down on the mat recovering from their fit of laughters.

Eric propped himself on the side and leaned closer to her. "Really?"

She hummed a reply.

The next morning, the couple couldn't be more relieved as they managed to sneak away from the studio back to their home before any of Eric's staff or crew could walk in through the door and see the both of them lying in one of their prop mats in their birthday suits.

They were literally just ten minutes away from being discovered by Eric's employees and friend when he received a phone call from Kyujong that woke the couple up from their sweet rest after a night of bliss and pleasure. They were a bit puzzled and dazed from waking up and Yongsun almost ended up screaming at the top of her lungs if Eric hand't covered to stop her. As soon as the awkward and alarming call ended, he calmly told his wife to get dressed as fast as she can and explained the situation in a quick summarized version before they slipped out the backdoor ten minutes later just a couple of minutes before one of his crew called in to inform him of handling the opening for him.

Sending his a message asking his crew to clean up for him, he turned to see his wife giving him a deathly glare.

Although he tend to get a little scared when his wife gives him that glare, he couldn't help but break out in a mischievious grin and chuckle instead while she just smacked him. What was she glaring about you might ask?

Well... How would you feel being forcedly awake by an ungodly ringing only to discover that you are bare with just a think sheet covering every bit of you then your husbands covers your mouth to finish a call and orders you to get dress only to find your shirt torn in half so you had to grab your husband's shirt instead and finally he drags you out through the back door and shove you inside a taxi?

Yeap...

You'd literally want to smack the man out cold.

Grinning even wider, Yongsun just gritted her teeth and gave her husband a hard smack on the arm before moving far to her side of the seat.

Although a little pained, Eric just rubbed the part and chuckled before pulling and meeting his wife half way in a side hug which she didn't disapprove of.

"I hate you right now." She muttered.

Eric just scoffed and said, "I so love you." Earning him another jab to the stomach.

*N: Sigh...

      I'm SO sorry.

My mind's really just ed up right now.
