Coffee
My NeighborBae Joohyun, CEO of Bae Products, and extremely rich.
She had a nice car, a nice penthouse, and a good job. What else could she ask for? Definitely not this.
The sound of an alarm had easily awoken the girl. Looking at the clock it had been already past morning. Joohyun sighed as she raised her arms in order to stretch. Her whole body was sore after taking a not so comfortable nap. Yes, nap- as in a 3 hour nap. Joohyun had been up for the whole night, papers were scattered across the floor that were supposed to be on her desk. Joohyun blinked as she looked at the floor.
"Weren't those papers supposed to be on my desk?" She scratched her hair like a mad man and grumbled "I haven't showered in days."
This was the daily life of Bae Joohyun, CEO of one of Korea's most popular makeup companies. Wake up early, take a shower, go to work, work more, eat, take a nap, then repeat the process. Sometimes, people sacrifice things to get ahead in life, and to Joohyun, it was her dear, precious sleep. Sometimes she wished as if she weren't a CEO, maybe people wouldn't have been so fake if she weren't.
Joohyun had no friends. Being rich also means attracting a lot of selfish people. Joohyun couldn't really make any real good friends because of her reputation, they were either there for her money or too scared to even approach her as a regular person. Except for Sooyoung, she was her best friend and helped her out with a lot of things inside and outside of work. Sooyoung was her secretary, and when things got rough she would usually dump all her work on the poor girl. Speaking of the poor girl, a very loud sound was heard banging on Joohyun's door. . I woke up late.
Joohyun ran to the bathroom to make her look at best presentable (she wasn't) then ran to the door. She knew Sooyoung already had a key to her penthouse, but just knowing that the girl was rampaging on her door instead of actually opening it was to let Joohyun know that she is seriously pissed. Opening the door, Joohyun was greeted by flick on her forehead.
"YAHH!!"
"Don't "YAH!" me! What are you doing unnie!!! I told you there was a very important meeting today, and you MISSED IT! YOU ING MISSED IT WHYYYY" she yelled- hands all over the place. Joohyun winced, then got more pissed by how Sooyoung was acting at her own boss. "DON'T TALK TO YOUR BOSS LIKE THAT"
" YOU"
"IM YOUR UNNIE"
" LIKE I CARE"
A vein started showing on Joohyun's forehead, obviously not showing a good sign. Sooyoung quickly realized what she had said and zipped , later bowing towards the older.
"sorry...." she muttered. Joohyun snickered at the girl's defeat and let the girl inside her penthouse. "I don't feel like working today, cancel everything on my schedule."
Sooyoung stared at her with widened eyes and mouth agape. "BUT UNNIE! IT TOOK ME 6 MONTHS TO GET THAT MEETING WITH MISS KIM!!" she practically whined. Knowing that Joohyun wouldn't care less, she sighed accepted it. "So what are you going to do today? Oh yeah, did you know the penthouse next to yours has finally been bought? Guess how much it was bought for?"
Joohyun raised her brow "1.5 million?" Sooyoung shook her head. "2.5!!!" WHAT!! 2.5 million?? Joohyun's mouth was now also wide open.
"You're ting me, for real?? They must be rich then." Sooyoung snickered "unnie, you have way more money than just 2 million dollars, that's probably nothing for you." Joohyun jokingly slapped her shoulder "money isn't everything, Sooyoung."
But it was true- money can't buy you everything. It's not always about the number you have. Joohyun had come from a very wealthy family, after coming out, she was left with nothing. However, after she finished her business degree, she had slowly started to see her company rise from the bottom. All her hard work had come to this very moment. Sometimes, it was very tiresome to handle a company, but she often enjoyed the feeling.
Sooyung rolled her eyes, "ah yes, I get it. You have money but you don't use it, try not to be wise for once unnie!! It's the modern era, you gotta spend at least some of it" she tried to convince, but it didn't work on the older latter. "No."
"Ugh."

Feeling tired, the black haired girl decided to walk to a nearby café.
"Hi, can I get one hot chocolate please" she asked while looking at the menu. Everything on the menu was basically coffee, and she hated coffee. "Of course. Name?"
"Joohyun."
Joohyun handed over the money and stepped aside to wait for her drink. Looking around, the café had a very nice scenery to it- modern tables, comfy chairs, it sort of had an aesthetically pleasing vibe.
What wasn't so aesthetically pleasing was someone accidentally spilling coffee all over her- including her very expensive blouse.
"What the !!" The coffee was hot. Really hot. She felt the coffee burning down onto her skin sinking through her oh so beautiful (and very expensive) blouse. "Oh god, I'm so sorry!!" Joohyun looked up to see a slightly taller girl with raven black hair and monolid eyes, she was fairly cute to be honest. But cute doesn't stop Joohyun from being angry as hell.
"Are you ing kidding me?! This blouse is expensive!! Probably more expensive than your rent!!" Joohyun screamed. The taller girl winced, taking another look at the shorter's blouse. "I'm really really sorry miss!" The girl exclaimed, grabbing napkins from the nearby table to wipe off the coffee that clearly had engulfed Joohyun's whole shirt.
Joohyun's eyes widened as she screamed in horror. "STOP!! YOU'RE MAKING IT WORSE!"
Little did the taller girl know was that she was smudging the coffee, causing it to spread even more- and yes, making it worse. "I-i.. Uhhh..." she gulped.
Joohyun was already infuriated by this girl, she looked to be way younger than her too. She took a look at her already ruined blouse and sighed, she couldn't demand the girl to pay her for the cost of the blouse, because it was way too expensive- and the girl didn't seem to look like a wealthy girl. She had a regular red flannel on with a pair of black jeans and black boots. She looked like a typical college student.
My day could get any worse.
"I-I'm really sorry..." the mon
