“Appa! Appa! Saranghae-yo appa! I am really happy that I finally met you!” Andrei told Minho then he hugged and kissed him like no tomorrow.
IT WAS A DREAM.

Minho woke up in the middle of the night, he clearly remembered what he dreamt of. It was Andrei, his son. His son with Shinhye. Shinhye, the woman he loved. And the woman he hated so much. He never knew he got Shinhye pregnant, she told him that but he doesn’t remember when. All he knew was that she cheated on him, the reason why he believed that her child was not his.

Andrei is a mini version of Minho, their eyes, nose, lips, dimples…everything in Andrei was Minho’s except for his smile, it’s Shinhye’s. The same smile he fell for long ago. Those smile he recalled everytime he met Andrei, first was in New York, then at Incheon airport, the next thing he knew he was his own flesh and blood. He regretted everything, his accusations toward Shinhye, his unreasonable hatred, he hated himself for not being there for his son.
He recalled a vivid memory of what happened that night. He saw them, in one bed . Out of anger, he left her without any explanation. But what happened after he left, was just stories from her halmoni. He moved to other country, making him to know nothing about Shinhye.

“What happened?” was all he can ask his self. Not knowing what answers lies ahead. He needs to find out. He should find out.

Remembering his beautiful dream, he smiled. His son, calling him appa. It felt strange, but he was happy. He wished it was real but he knew Andrei hates his father. He then compared his self to his son, they are the same, he hated his father too. He hated his father for not saving his mother despite his profession as a doctor.

Minho got up from bed with so many thoughts running on his head. His conversation last night with Shinhye made his heart shatter into pieces, he can’t be with his son, he can’t introduce his self as his father. He wanted to protest, but he doesn’t have any power. Shinhye was right, his son might be better without a father. He will let her request for now, but he’ll sure find out the truth. This shall not pass, but for now, he just cares for what’s going to be better for Andrei, all the beat for his one and only son.

“Krystal noona, how was it growing up having a dad?” Andrei asked while Krystal was preparing his stuff. They are checking out from the hospital already.

“Why’d you ask?” Krystal replied. Andrei was just following Krsytal around with his puzzled gaze.

“My appa was the best appa, ofcourse I only has him as a father. He was a good appa but he has to work in Busan, quite far from Seoul. We decided to move in Busan but things did not go well so we stayed here. My appa just visit us twice a month, now why are you asking?” Krystal curiously asked.
“Nothing.” Andrei shortly replied.

Shinhye barged inside the room and checked Krystal and Andrei, “Everything ready, the bill is settled already and the doctors’ instructions are with me. Haneul is waiting for us at the lobby. Let’s go sweetheart?” Shinhye moved to Andrei’s side and assisted him to go down from bed.

Andrei got up from the bed and moved to Shinhye’s side. He was too quiet, he wanted to ask his mother but too afraid on what will be her answer.
The travel going home was too quiet. Shinhye noticed Andrei’s unusual behavior. “sweetheart anything bothering you?” she asked Andrei.
“Nothing mom, I just wanted more rest” Andrei replied. But Shinhye knew something is wrong, she knew her son is hiding something so she can’t just let this pass.

“Andrei dear, you want to talk to mommy about anything?” Shinhye asked Andrei as she sat beside him on the bed.

“Nothing mom.” Andrei tucked himself under the blanket as he forced himself to sleep, just to keep out of the topic her mother is about to brought up.
