Weekend came faster than ever, and Sakura was super nervous. This will be her first date, ever, as she never had a proper date before. Well, having lunch with Minju and Taeng cannot be counted as a date, especially since there's three people in it. Sakura then stops at her tracks.

Can she consider this as a date?

Sakura shook her head as she rubbed her neck. Feeling nervous makes her neck tense, and she didn’t like it. Not after she spent a long time operating last night. She needs this. She needs lunch.

She needs to see Eunbi.

“Going somewhere?”

Sakura turned her head to see her father leaning on her door. Sakura swears she didn’t even dress up, this is like how she usually dressed, only she used a little bit of perfume and properly combed her hair.

Okay, that’s probably why he knew she’s going out.

“Yeah, gonna grab some lunch with a friend.”

Sakura heard her father click his tongue. Totally not his first time doing that.

“Friend this, friend that. Always with a friend. When will you introduce a nice man with the intention of marrying them?”

Sakura had to use any force within her to not roll her eyes right there. She just smiles awkwardly at her father.

“I'm busy, dad. You know that.”

Her father grunted before he pushed himself away from the door. Before leaving he turned her head and glared at Sakura.

“At least give that Nakamoto boy a chance. Lunch with him next week, that’s an order.”

Sakura watched her father leave the room and about to shout in frustration when she felt a vibration on her phone.

Oh well, her frustration over her dad could wait. Sakura grinned as she read the message and immediately took her wallet before she ran out the house. She kissed her mother goodbye before she left. Taking a deep breath of the air, Sakura ran for her life to the station, hoping not to be late or not make her ‘date’ wait.

The weather was surprisingly nice. The skies are blue and there are a couple of clouds floating. Was that bunch of birds? Do they actually sound pretty good? Sakura usually feels annoyed with them chirping around in the morning, especially after a long shift. But today, they are pretty nice to hear. She didn't realize it was spring when she saw some flowers blooming. Last time she checked, they are actually waiting for summer to arrive.

Is it just her or is it especially pleasant today?

By the time she arrived, Sakura took a moment and took a deep breath before she checked her watch. She arrived at least five minutes before their promised time and Sakura would like to give herself a pat on the back until someone patted her first. Sakura turned her head and saw Eunbi. Looking gorgeous as ever.

“Hi, sorry for the wait.”

Sakura immediately fixed her appearance, making Eunbi giggle at her. Well, additional points for making her laugh, I guess. Sakura grinned.

“Not at all. Just arrived as well.”

Sakura scratched her head, feeling awkward as Eunbi looked around the station. Sakura totally did not check her out, especially with her wearing a tank top with a sweater on top and hot pants. To think that she put her hair into a bun, exposing her neck and those jawline-

“So, where are you taking me?”

Sakura tapped her finger to her chin, thinking. To be honest, Sakura never really thought about where to take Eunbi. She was busy, and that was her only excuse. As she was busy thinking, she missed the way Eunbi looked at her. The sight, for Eunbi, looks extremely adorable. She secretly took a picture of Sakura with her camera before she waited until the other girl decided where to go.

“How about ramen? Classic food never goes wrong.”

Eunbi shrugged her shoulders, before she linked her arms with Sakura. The action makes Sakura tense, as they were in public and near her home. This looks totally harmless, but surely attacks her sanity. With her hand frozen, she tried to act calm about this by trying to look unbothered, but her heart and body said the opposite. She could hear Eunbi giggled beside her.

“Don’t be too tense. We’re friends, right?”

Sakura forced a grin before she slowly pulled her arms away by taking her phone from her pocket and walked ahead, guiding the other woman to the ramen shop she had in mind. It wasn’t that far from the station, but far enough from Sakura’s home. Eunbi walked beside her, not bothered with how poor Sakura’s acting was and enjoying the road as she took random pictures. Sakura is glad that she doesn’t talk much about the incident, but she couldn’t help feeling bad about that.

Maybe I’ll treat her to ramen.. Wait, I am going to treat her a ramen. Think of something else, Miyawaki. Sakura was so deep in her own thoughts that she didn’t realize Eunbi stood in front of her, grinning widely.

“What are you thinking of?”

Sakura blinked her eyes repeatedly, as she was startled by the sight of an angel. Eunbi is probably a goddess sent by God to bless this lame county with her beauty, but she doesn’t need to know that. For now. Or maybe forever. Sakura rubbed the back of her neck before her eyes fell into a ramen stall.

“Oh look, we’re here.”

They have finally arrived at the ramen stall and immediately find a place to sit. The place was not that big, a little bit cramped actually. But there were not many people as they arrived quite early.

“Ok so, do you have any recommendations?”

Sakura looked up to see Eunbi, who was reading her own menu. Sakura couldn’t help but be mesmerized by how beautiful she looked. Yes, Eunbi just read her menu but Sakura could feel her heart leaping. This is not good. Sakura flinched when she saw Eunbi tore her gaze from the menu and stared straight at Sakura, as she didn’t give her any answers. Sakura immediately looked down, missing the giggle that escaped from Eunbi’s mouth as it was covered by herself clearing .

“U-uh.. I would say Tonkotsu Ramen. Highly recommended for best ramen in Fukuoka.”
