I'll be attending a business meeting in Malaysia. Our plane just landed. As we walked out through the arrival gate...
Colleague : Don't be late tomorrow! I can't do my job without my translator.
Jinho : I know! I promise I won't be late! See you tomorrow.
Colleague : Okay. Enjoy your break!
We parted ways. He has plans to stay in a hotel nearby. Me? I was thinking somewhere more familiar. As I looked around, I heard someone call me in English.
Mummy : Jinho? Is that you?
Jinho : Mummy?
Mummy : Jinho!
She came over and gave me a big hug. It was my mum. I haven't seen her for over a year now.
Mummy : You've grown so big since the last time I saw you!
Jinho : That's because you still send me Malaysian food!
I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her back.
Mummy : Now, let's go get something to eat!
Jinho : Hehe okay, Mummy!
7 September 2016 (Wednesday), 7 p.m.
After having dinner, we continued to talk in her car, trying to catch up on what's been going on.
Mummy : Are you sure you don't want a wheelchair while you're staying here?
Jinho : Yes! I'm sure! My knee is fine! I'm working again, aren't I?
Mummy : I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you then.
Jinho : It's okay. I understand. I did miss you every now and then.
I've told people that she stayed in Malaysia for work. It's not completely true. She could get a job at Korea, but what she's doing now supports the two of us.
