Life is full of surprises, Joohyun knows that, but that doesn’t mean you can’t try to prepare for most of its swings. Joohyun studied hard when she was still in school (her occasionally questionable conduct aside)—when the time came, it was beneficial to her, because her employer had some trust in the quantitative markers of her diligence (not that Joohyun herself believes numbers are an accurate indicator of success). But Seulgi tends to get a little, just a little, lax at times, and Joohyun worries for her preparedness when roadblocks appear, because you’ve got to have some predetermined sense of direction to find other routes.
