Yena woke up feeling a bit disoriented from the deep sleep she had, the shift last night was not as tiring as the other one but it took the best on her – she thinks everyone was exhausted last night not from the actual shift but because they kept on worrying about Hyewon and Yujin. All of them were out of it, often staring outside the shop to see if Hyewon would unexpectedly show up with Yujin.

But they didn’t see any signs of the two.

Flipping to the other side, she was greeted by the sight of a sleeping Yuri making her smile. Yena scoots closer to the girl and wrapped her arms around her waist, hoping to get back from her sleep. She frowns a little bit when she felt Yuri moving, making her tighten her hold to the latter. “Stop moving, I’m trying to sleep.”

Yuri immediately stopped moving but didn’t hesitate to pinch the older girl which earned her a loud groan. “Well, stop snoring. I can’t get a proper sleep because of your loud snores.”

“Shut up, deal with it.” Yena said and poked the girl’s side making the latter squirm a little. “How’s your evaluation?”

Yuri looked at the girl unamused, “Seriously, you don’t have to remind me that early in the morning.”

Yena just chuckled and let Yuri continue, drawing circles on the girl’s lower back which eventually made Yuri relax. “It’s doing great, the practices I mean. Hyewon is a big help during our practices.”

The older girl opened her eyes slightly, smiling at what Yuri said. Ever since Hyewon said she will start playing again, Yena couldn’t help but be happy and excited for her friend. Hyewon’s talent in music shouldn’t be wasted – everyone in their group knows that. But they respected her decision when she stopped playing for a few years, but that doesn’t mean that they didn’t miss it.

During birthdays, she and Sora would always spontaneously play something that will just leave the group in awe – those two are just geniuses when it comes to that field. Yena is not musically inclined, she appreciates the mainstream music, but the classical ones? It was something she didn’t tap in to.

But whenever those two play a piece, whether it be an original or not – it always takes her to another place, it makes her feel emotions that they convey.

It was something only Hyewon and Sora could do. They are both great individually as a musician, but when they play together? It was just pure perfection.

Which is why they understand why Hyewon stopped during that fateful night, other than not having the physical ability to do so because of the damage that the accident had on her, it was more than that. How could someone play again when they lost something close to perfection?

“Does she still have, problems?” Yena carefully asks, “You know that Kwangbae always keeps everything in just for other people.”

Yuri smiles at the older girl, it may not look like it but Yena cares for Hyewon deeply – it was very much obvious. It’s just that, Yena has her own way of showing that she cares. But Yuri knows the girl too well, she knows that Hyewon has a huge part in Yena’s life.

Hyewon and Sora is a huge of their lives.

That is a fact.

“I know but this time I’m pretty sure, she’s taking it good.” Yuri answered, reassuring Yena to not to worry. “You think everything went well last night?”

Yena sighs and pulled Yuri closer to her, “I hope so.”

Yuri kissed Yena chastely on the lips, returning the hug. “We all hope so.”

Yujin woke up groaning and covering her face with a pillow to muffle out the knocks coming from her front door. She roughly pulled the pillow away from her and scratched her head, the knocks seem like it won’t stop any soon. Looking at the clock, her frown went deeper as she reads that it was still 7:30 in the morning.

Not the ideal time to wake up after she drove for hours last night.

Hearing the knocks getting louder, Yujin grumpily threw her blanket to the side and dragged herself out of the room. Not bothering to fix her appearance, she just went straight to her door. Yujin was ready to reprimand whoever the person knocking at her apartment, too early in the morning.

Unlocking the door and pulling it open, Yujin opens . “Don’t you have the – “

“Finally!”

Yujin’s words got stuck in , her frown quickly changed to a surprise look and she quickly stepped back. Her hand bumping into the door in the process making her wince in pain and immediately raising to look at its condition. It was the hand that she used to punch the heck out of her cousin yesterday, and as expected – it didn’t look too good.

“Damn hell!” Yujin exclaimed as she touches the bruise on her hand. She didn’t think that it would be this painful to punch someone, if she knew then she would have just opted to kick Jaehyun where it hurts.

She then heard a scoff and that’s when she remembered the person outside of her apartment. She looks up to see Wonyoung looking at her with a stern look, glancing from her face – which made Yujin conscious of her appearance, to the bruised fist.

“Good morning to you too, Yujin.” Wonyoung greeted the older girl, rolling her eyes she pushed the door open to welcome herself and not even sparing a glance to the owner. “It’s nice to finally see you up.”

Yujin clears , shutting the door quickly and followed Wonyoung inside the apartment. She looks around to see that her apartment is in decent condition, just the right amount of mess but still presentable for visitors. She then catches something at the side of her eyes, she turns to see her reflection on the mirror – and she suppressed a loud groan from coming out.

Yujin, for the lack of better word, looks absolute hell.

“I’m sorry, I went back late las – “

“Where’s your first aid kit?” Wonyoung asked and puts down her bag on the couch. Walking around the apartment hoping to find the thing she’s asking for. Hearing no response, Wonyoung looks back and sees Yujin dumbly blinking at her.

“You don’t expect that to heal itself, right?” Wonyoung said and gestures for the bruised hand. “Just tell me where your first aid is and I’ll do the rest.”

Yujin thinks about it for a moment, trying to remember where the thing is – if she has one inside her apartment. It would be stupid of her not to have one, trying to rack her brain for the most common place she would put it.

Wonyoung rolled her eyes and proceeded to what seems to be the bathroom, “I’m taking a wild guess here and say that it’s in here.” She said and entered the room, looking around the cabinets.

“I think it’s in the lower right cabinet!” Yujin shouted and Wonyoung immediately opened the said cabinet, a relieved sigh coming out from her as she found the thing she was looking for. She quickly grabs it and walks out of the bathroom, Yujin is already sitting on her couch waiting for the younger girl to arrive.

Wonyoung sits beside the girl putting the kit in front of them, she inspected the bruise on Yujin’s hand making the latter wince. It made Wonyoung look at the older girl, “You really do have a temper of a child.”

Yujin doesn’t have anything to say to that comment because she knows it was true. If it wasn’t for Hyewon, she’s pretty sure that a bruised knuckle isn’t the only thing she would get. “I was annoyed.”

Wonyoung clicks her tongue, opening the kit to grab the things she needs to clean Yujin’s knuckles. Unfortunately, there’s slightly opened wound on the girl’s knuckle and she can already hear the whining coming from Yujin. “This will sting, you have a slight wound there.”

Yujin immediately stiffened at the warning, trying to scoot farther away from Wonyoung but the latter was quick and immediately pulled Yujin closer. “But, Wonyo – “

“This is your fault; be thankful I’m nursing it!” Wonyoung said, “And to think that I woke up early because I was worried.”

Yujin blinks at what she heard, a grin forming on her face and leaning closer to Wonyoung. “You did that? For me?”

Wonyoung stares at the older girl unamused and without warning, dabbed the cloth with alcohol on the wound.

“Ouch! Wonyoung, that – “

Wonyoung ignored the whines and dabbed it again, “Shut up.”

“Plea – Ouch!”

That made Wonyoung stop torturing Yujin, looking at the older girl softly. She sighs quietly, putting the cloth down and grabbing an ointment from the kit. “Are you okay?”

Yujin stopped and looked at the younger girl in front of her, knowing that Wonyoung is not asking about the bruise. Yujin smiles slightly at the girl, thinking about the events from yesterday – how her boring and stressful day turned into something more. “Just that, there are really too many sides in a story.”

“And it all ends the same.” Yujin continued quietly, letting Wonyoung put the ointment on her bruised knuckles. “With pain and regret.”

Wonyoung looks up from the bruise, staring quietly at Yujin. She could see that the girl is reminiscing all the memories from before and she wonders – she hoped that she met Sora and Hyewon before.

“All great people leave a mark on everyone, and I think that’s not the only thing that Sora left to you guys.”

That statement made Yujin smile, her dimple showing as she feels a little bit lighter now that Wonyoung is there for her to talk to. Because it was the truth, those are not the only things that Sora left.

“We all made beautiful memories together, I just hoped that it didn’t have to end.”

Wonyoung looks at the older girl for a moment, the two of them staring at each other’s eyes. Raising her hand slowly, she softly touches Yujin’s cheek and carefully fixed the girl’s bed hair. “But the great thing about memories is that it will never leave you.”

“It will always stay inside your heart, no matter what.”

As expected, Minju woke up with a sore back from last night. She didn’t move an inch from while she and Hyewon slept on the couch, neither of them bothered to transfer to the bed. Minju woke up from time to time to adjust her position, at some point she just wanted to wake Hyewon up to ask the girl for them to move to her room.

But she just doesn’t have the heart to wake up the older girl – Hyewon looks too peaceful for Minju to disrupt her sleep.

Which is why she somehow regrets her decision because she could definitely feel the pain from her back as she simply sits on the couch. They have been awake since 9 in the morning and it was almost lunch already. Hyewon is in the kitchen cooking their lunch while Minju is busy on her laptop, trying to email everyone she needs to email.

It was a sudden off day for her, but it didn’t surprise Chaewon – the latter expected it already after the obvious worry she saw from Minju yesterday.

“God Hyewon, you sleep like a rock. My back is hurting!” Minju shouted from the living room, stretching her body to ease the pain. She could faintly hear a laugh from kitchen and soon enough, Hyewon emerged while she carries the lunch she cooked.

“That’s why I’m being a great person and cooking you lunch,” Hyewon answered, putting the tray on the table in front of the couch. “Do you want me to feed you too?”

Minju rolled her eyes, shutting her laptop close. She would have accepted the offer if not for the teasing grin on the older girl’s face. “No thanks, I’m good. A massage will be great though.”

Hyewon chuckles as she grabbed her own bowl of food from the tray, it was just a simple tonkatsu. It just so happened that they have the ingredients for it and Hyewon just cooked it because she suddenly missed Japan.

“So, what are we doing today?” The older girl asked, obviously talking about the plan that Minju told her last night. They haven’t talked about it since they woke up since Minju immediately opened her laptop to email some important things for Chaewon. Hyewon on the other hand didn’t do much, she just cooked for the two of them and relaxed beside Minju.

Minju chewed the food inside first, savoring the meal that Hyewon cooked for them. She looks at the older girl as she gulped down the food, “Well, where do you want to go?”

Hyewon raised an eyebrow to the girl, a smirk forming on her lips. “Well, you’re the one who thought of it, you think of something.”

Minju’s jaw dropped at the older girl’s statement, putting the bowl down on the table and grabbed the glass of water beside the tray to gulp it down. She didn’t expect for Hyewon to let Minju think the whole agenda for the day – she hasn’t even thought of anything yet.

“Uh, at least help me? I don’t know what to, I mean. Do you want to have a – “

Hyewon released a giggle at Minju’s flustered and panicked state, “Just don’t overthink it. I’m a simple person, I think I’ll enjoy anything.”

Minju nods her head slowly, not having any idea what to do for their date. She was used to having fancy dates and Minju doesn’t want for Hyewon to experience it, because it was a very boring and repetitive thing to have. And boring is not a word that Minju could relate to Hyewon.

In fact, the girl is full of surprises.

“So, casual and fun?” Minju asks the older girl.

Hyewon turned to look at Minju, moving closer to the girl and giving her a quick kiss on the lips. She couldn’t help herself, Minju looks adorable at that moment – too unsure and nervous. The latter shouldn’t feel anything like that because Hyewon would enjoy anything that Minju plans to do.

“Casual and fun sounds exciting.”

Minju can only blink at Hyewon, the kiss was too sudden that she didn’t have enough time to react. Pulling herself out of her daze, she watches Hyewon finishing her own lunch as if she didn’t just do something out of the ordinary.

Sometimes Minju forgets that she and Hyewon are in a relationship already as they didn’t change much. She is only reminded by that fact when the older girl will suddenly do things to her – just like what she said, Hyewon is full of surprises.

Minju turns away from the older girl, grabbing her own bowl from the table and continued with her meal. She could see Hyewon glancing beside her and she knows that the older girl is teasing her, Minju lightly kicked Hyewon earning a laugh from the latter.

“Shut up.”

“Make me.”

Minju hates how she easily became flustered with just those two words, smacking Hyewon with a throw pillow – not caring if the girl is holding her bowl of food.

“I’m just kidding!”

Hyewon has been waiting for Minju to finish up, the latter is currently inside her room looking for something to wear as they go out for their planned date. But the thing is, she has been waiting for a good 30 minutes already and it seems like Minju has no plans to go out of the room anytime soon.

Standing up from the couch, Hyewon walked and knocked on the door. “Minju, are you good?”

Leaning her ears against the door, she hears a quiet shuffle and few cussing. Hyewon frowned before knocking three times and hearing a muffled ‘come in’, she opened the door. Hyewon stares at the mess in front of her, clothes scattering everywhere as if a storm happened. She looks at Minju only to see the latter wearing a plain shirt and high-waisted jeans.

“All this mess for that outfit?” Hyewon asked Minju, she then grabbed the clothes scattered on the floor and put it on the bed.

“I don’t have much casual clothes,” Minju said defeatedly, “As you can see.” She continued, gesturing on the absolute mess of a room.

Hyewon chuckles, “You could have asked me for some.”

Minju blushed as she looks down at her outfit, frowning at the light stained coffee at the end of her shirt. She doesn’t have much plain shirt or any casual shirts for that matter, heck she doesn’t even have the comfortable hoodies that Hyewon usually wear. She noticed it just today, her closet is rather boring.

“Well, can I borrow one of your…”

Hyewon raised an eyebrow, smiling at the shy demeanor of the younger girl. “Hoodie? Sure, let me get you one.”

Minju smiled at Hyewon, following the older girl behind as they enter Hyewon’s room. That’s when she realized that the room is as good as a spare room, she looks around and it looks like as if no one is staying there at all. She then realized that Hyewon always spend her time at Minju’s room now, the only time she’ll go inside her room is when she’ll go change her clothes.

Other than that, she does everything inside Minju’s room.

A voice pulled her out from her thoughts, Minju looking at two hoodies presented in front of her.

“So, purple or black?”

Without hesitation Minju chose the purple one, she has seen Hyewon wore it yesterday night and she doubts that the girl has already washed it which is why she expects for the older girl’s scent to linger on it.

As expected, Minju immediately got a whiff of the girl’s scent from the hoodie making her smile a little. Hyewon just threw the other black hoodie on her bed as she grabs her favorite white oversized sweater, she looks at Minju smiling. “We good now?”

Minju nods her head and wears the hoodie and liking the oversized fit it has on her, as she was about to talk to Hyewon she felt the latter staring at her. “Hey, you cool?”

Hyewon blinked for a moment, taking everything in and nods her head. “Yeah, you just…”

“What?”

Hyewon shrugs her shoulders walking passed the younger girl, “You look good in my hoodie, that’s all.”

If Minju was drinking water that time, she’s entirely sure that she would have spit it all out. She quickly follows Hyewon and slapped the girl’s shoulder, grabbing the latter’s attention.

“Aw Minju, what gives?!”

Minju rolled her eyes, “You can’t just throw things like that!”

“Like what?” Hyewon asked, confusion evident in her face as she tilts her head to the side. Minju just wanted to pull out her hair because Hyewon looks very much innocent, another proof that the girl just says anything that she wants to say.

Minju shakes her head, giving up on the subject because it seems like Hyewon will not get it – and that she’s too embarrassed to actually voice it out. She just entered her room and grabbed her bag, ignoring the mess that she did – she’ll just fix it when they get back later.

“I’ll just drink this then we’re good.” Minju said gesturing for the medicine, Hyewon looks at it questioningly – worry forming on her face.

“What’s that for?” Hyewon said following the younger girl in the kitchen, Minju hummed in response as she gets a glass full of water and pointed at her foot.

“I sometimes feel some ache on my foot but it’s normal no need to worry.” Minju answered and gulped down the pills with water. “It happens every time I put too much stress on it with my stilettos.”

Hyewon frowns and looks at the girl’s foot, “Are you sure? We can postpone and just stay in for to – “

“I’m sure!” Minju quickly cuts the girl off, not liking the idea that they’ll have to move their spontaneous date. “This is nothing, it’ll be fine with one drink don’t worry.”

The older girl nods her head, “If you say so.”

“I know so,” Minju said reassuringly and hugged Hyewon from the side and gave the latter a peck on the cheek. “Now, come on?”

Hyewon has never been on a date for her whole life, her idea of a date comes from all the anime and movies that she has watched before. Sometimes from Sora whenever she talks about her dates before with Jaehyun, but other than that, nothing
