Love
100 Days of Drabble Challenge ft. Bangtan Boyslove;
Jungkook shook his head at the new romcom drama airing on the television. The plot line was ridiculous and the end result was always the same; the would always win the girl and the nice guy would be left broken-hearted on the sidelines.
He risked a peek to his left and instantly regretted it. They looked so happy together, it ripped him apart. The boy sighed miserably. Why had he been invited to their little 'movie date' anyways? Jungkook's body slumped and he turned his attention back to the screen. He tried to ignore the fact that they were making out right next to him; he stared at—no, straight through—the television, his face an emotionless mask.
This was cruel, too cruel. The boy felt like someone was wrenching his heart right out of his chest. Jungkook's body hurt with excruciating pain, waves washing over him again, and again, and he had unknowingly balled his hands together into fists.
First love hurts the most. He thought, just as the couple beside him burst into fits of laughter at an inside joke. Jungkook looked over at them again, and this time, the girl caught his eye and smiled gently.
Jungkook returned the smile, but it was forced. He loved her. If she was happy, then so was he even if the guy by her side didn’t turn out to be him. That was love after all.
