Back to the Usual
His Vow vs. His Loyalty
The next couple of days, Niddie went back into depression. She stopped eating again and slept for most of the day. Kon paid her no heed, thinking that she was still sick with the flu. Mike on the other hand began to do some underground work. Going to old friends in shady places to help him get passports and airline tickets for Japan. He needed to get Niddie away from here and fast. He also made sure to buy some guns and bullets on the black market. Thank goodness he was such a nice guy bodyguard with a tough enough exterior to make the 'friends' that he needed in bad times. He would be able to secure the passports in a week's time, which gave him and Niddie enough time to think about how they were going to escape. He also had to think of way to get her parents and Golf's parents to safety. He knew Kon will do whatever he could to bring them out of hiding...and Niddie's family was perfect bait.
As Mike walked around town getting things situated his cell phone rang, "Hello?"
"Mike? This is Uncle Pisat."
"Oh, hello sir."
"I need you to come down to the hospital, the lab reports are in."
"What is the verdict?"
"I'd rather wait until you were here."
"Ok I'll go pick up Niddie and we'll be there in 30 minutes." Mike hung up and quickly rushed off to get home. Thankfully Kon was gone by the time he reached the house, he ran to Niddie's room. He walked in and she was still lying in bed. He walked over to her and gently shook her. She moaned and turned around to look at him. He cringed, in the one week that she was filling out again, it only took her 3 days
