TEASER 03
The Tea
“Oh-em-gee, did you hear? Lavender Teahouse is going to start using real tea in their milk teas!”
“…Were they not already doing that?”
“Wasn’t it the powder kind before?”
“I’m pretty sure the powder’s milk and flavoring? Because, I mean, real milk’s expensive and all.”
“Wait wait wait, but they offer non-dairy milk tea too, so it can’t be milk powder.”

Awkward silence follows her words. Then, someone whistles. “Whew, girl, do you work there or something? Are you sure the owner wouldn’t mind you telling us all this?”
She laughs and shrugs, pushing her glasses up. “My friend works there, and I don’t know, I’m pretty sure milk tea recipes aren’t some closely-guarded secret.”
Someone else leans in, excitement written all over their face. “Hey, does your friend know if the owner’s single?” The girl starts, but the speaker barrels right on. “He’s so hot.”
“Ye
